In case you don't know, PORN is one of the biggest businesses in America. 60 Minutes did a story about 6 months ago that would have shocked you as to who is involved an who is buying.

Most markets in business are extremely aggressive in terms of gaining new marketing niches, advertising and selling their products, beating out the competition, earning higher income, and keeping a loyal customer base. I see nothing unique about the Porno industry.

I think what most people fail to see is the porn business is a consumer driven market just like everything else in a free market economy. Simply put, if people would stop demanding it, the suppliers would stop supplying it. It is not the pornographic industries fault that their is pornography out there, that blame lies on the individuals in society who purchase and consume it.

Not everything is about sex. Porn is deceptive. Those women would never give most men a second thought. I find the concept of a real man trying to relate to a woman on paper unnerving.

Want to see a shocking movie about the porn industry, watch 8mm. I know it is only a movie, but I am compelled to believe that it is not to far from the truth in many aspects.

"Those women would never give most men a second thought."

Of course they wouldn't but that is why they are being paid the big dollars to act like they would in front of a camera.

Was that the movie about Bob Crane? The porn industry today is alot different than it was even five years ago.

I don't think women buy a lot of the stuff

According to Family Safe Media, 28% of viewers of Internet porn are female.

I recall a couple of parties I attended in high school and college, shortly after the VCR appeared, where classics like "Deep Throat" and "The Devil in Miss Jones were shown. The girls at the party were riveted to the TV screen, I mean totally fascinated.

I suspect that if they can do so in a socially accepted way, either by themselves on the Internet, or in a large crowd at a party, many women enjoy looking at porn. It's the adult bookstores and sticky-floored "art" cinemas that turn them off, as it leads to unwanted advances from men that cannot be laughed off casually or ignored like they can at a party.

8mm was a goofy suspense film about the fictional "snuff film" industry.

There ARE snuff films in this world (just turn on Al-Jazeera any week) but no evidence has shown that apart from a murderer possibly recording his own acts for his own enjoyment, there is no "trade" (only the Islamonazis use such homemade tapes to recruit and promote their work in the media).

No clue it stared Nicolas Cage. It was quite some time ago that I watched it, but I remember being a little taken back by some of the scenes.

8mm was Nicholas Cage movie. I know the Bob Crane movie your talking about--it starred Greg Kennear (sp?). Can't think of the name.

The movie about Bob "Hogan's Heroes" Crane was called Auto Focus.

Bob even showed his self-made porn to his son.

Now his son offers some of the porn videos on a website.

That's right. I never heard of 8mm, then. My error.

There is nothing new about pornography, nor the concept of pornography. It has been around since men have figured out how to paint pictures on a slab of rock.

Images they worshipped and made idols or totems out of, we just have them in an electronic form on the satanic family altar in glowing cobalt blue...

That's curious because the Columbia house is based in my hometown. I haven't heard this.

Feminism. Men want women, not things trying to become men.

Ouch! That had to leave a mark -- somewhere...

Good shot!

Men want women, not things trying to become men.

Because men find it easier to deal with a video than having to be mature enough to do with a living, breathing woman.

Do UN Reps and Staffers get a Free Membership?

Senators Kennedy and Dodd are major stock holders in Columbia House.
