"Why is pornography becoming so pervasive?"

Short answer, Because seeing young attractive females in the buff is pleasing to mens eyes. Always has been always will be.

This isn't as drastic as it sounds. Not that I'm condoning a porn club, but if I read the article correctly, the videos that they'll be selling are those soft-core Playboy vids that they've been hocking for years "under the counter" to members.

Do you think they are too stupid to consider the types of things in you brought up? From your logic, there would be no porn business at all.

This is why they have partnered with Playboy I imagine. Playboy already understands this stuff. CH is leveraging Playboy's expertise in the field, not blindly entering a market knowing nothing.

"Feminism. Men want women, not things trying to become men."

Nah, even simpler, men want sex with women. Most men would like to have it with as many attractive females as possible. Since that is not possible with the average Joe, he lives out that fantasy by view pornographic material (usually while performing self pleasure [lol I know but I am trying to be as least crude as possible]).

Ah-hem so I have heard :-)

Women in porn are caricatures of beauty. Overinflated breasts aren't aren't attractive in reality.

I wonder how many of their daughters will end up as performers in the family business?

Playboy is strictly softcore and not in jeopardy of violating local standards of obscenity.

Why is pornography becoming so pervasive?

It is an idolatry of perversion, a cult that is just one part of the neo-pagan new age religion that needs to expand its congregation...

Even shorter answer;

Porn business is agressive and even ruthless.

Overinflated breasts aren't [as] attractive in reality.

I believe a 'field test' must be commsisioned to confirm your hypothesis... a sufficient number of subjects must be observed 'closely' in order to affirm validity. I hereby volunteer to be a tester... in the name of 'science', mind you.

And they'll send you these questionable flyers in their promo packages, like ads for witchcraft books and "wicca".

It is an idolatry of perversion, a cult that is just one more part of the neo-pagan new age religion that needs to expand its congregation...

And pornography destroys marraiges, leaving kids without dads.

BUT! It's a 12 billion a year business.

Whether or not the beauty is real or over polished and fake, the net result remains the same. These women are attractive to men (this stuff wouldn't sell otherwise). It is just that simple. Men consider porn starts to be hot, they wouldn't be porn starts if they weren't.

Well heck I will be man enough to admit it, I find most porn starts to be extremely attractive. I can understand why guys would want to see these women naked.

Why do we need to talk to top management about a business decision ?

"part of the neo-pagan new age religion "

There is nothing new about pornography, nor the concept of pornography. It has been around since men have figured out how to paint pictures on a slab of rock.
