HILLARY LOSES HER WAY
New York Post ^ | 1/07/05

Posted on 01/06/2005 11:20:31 PM PST by kattracks

So much for the new, moderate — dare we say centrist — Hillary Rod ham Clinton.

Yesterday she lined up with her party's moonbat "They-Stole-Ohio" caucus to headline the first formal congressional challenge to a presidential election since 1877 — only to see the effort, in equal measures baseless and slanderous, fail spectacularly.

Thus the second inauguration of George W. Bush as president of the United States will proceed on schedule Jan. 20.

No doubt visions of her own installation are dancing in Hillary's head; that could explain her flirtation with the grassy-knoll commandos of her party's left wing: They work hard for their candidates in presidential primaries.

[snip]

Even Hillary voted to certify the results — but not before a seismic fracture between herself and her colleague from New York, Sen. Chuck Schumer, appeared:

* Said Schumer: "My view is that you don't hold up the election unless there is concrete real evidence of fraud. I haven't seen that."

* Said Clinton: "As we look at our election system, I think it's fair to say that there are many legitimate questions about its accuracy, about its integrity, and they are not confined to . . . Ohio."

Schumer, of course, is correct.

There is no evidence of fraud in the Ohio outcome. None.

[snip]

Clinton and her Democratic colleagues yesterday alleged — without actually saying so, of course — that November's election was stolen.

And that's simply outrageous.

Her blatant move to suck up to the DUmmies was embarassingly hamhanded. She does not have her hubby's political skills, and this has no doubt emboldened some in her party who thought she would have the nomination for the asking. Nice move, Hil!

Hillary is the embodiment of many ugly things, including the stupidity, weakness and emptiness of the Dem party. Making it worse, this wanna-be is TOTALLY UNQUALIFIED TO BE PRESIDENT OF THIS COUNTRY, as was her so-called husband, as he clearly demonstrated during eight years of darkness upon the Oval Office.

Let her loose - keep the fool Marxist talking - she is ONLY THERE BECAUSE OF HER HUSBAND -- her resume she would submit to be President, IS A BLANK PIECE OF PAPER. The libs have degenerated to nothing but a bunch of whining street thugs, spraying negativism, hate, and anti-Americanism in every direction. They will foreever be a black mark in our history books, at least the ones they cannot rewrite...

But: has she listened to her husband's opinion about the vote? Clinton-dildon said that the victory of G. W. Bush was fair, without any fraud. I know, we don't need their opinion, but it's really distressing to assist to such baloneys.

Hillary is pre-emptively covering her sizable ass. As '08
gets closer some will level charges that the '04 election
turned out pretty much the way she wanted it which gives
her a turn at bat. Tossing balls to the fans is one way to
show that she is a team player. Joining Babs ('My girl-
friend can't wrestle but you ought to see her box')Boxer
gives her some legitimacy when she campaigns on the "fair
elections" platform. Yes, Hillary can never be accused of
not having balls.

One issue, and one issue only, will determine whether Spawnette O'Satan wins the presidency in 2008. For no matter what she says or what she does, when it gets a bit closer, the media will rally around her and launch a propaganda campaign the likes of which the world has never seen. She will figure out what she must claim to be in order to win, and the media will blow it completely out in an effort to convince the public that she is the person to meet that need, the person who will be the greatest leader in the history of the universe.

The one issue is this: Will we be able to render the MSM irrelevant enough by then to negate the propaganda effectively enough to prevent her from winning. That's what it will all come down to.

Hill had a meltdown today. It was fun to watch.

You have it correct that she displayed personal weakness when in the spotlight.

Her first display of weakness came with the electoral results of this election. Afterwards even Democrats ventued out loud their sudden concerns she wasn't a viable candidate for 2008. Today she personally displayed vulnerability that did not go unnoticed in Rep and Dem circles that haven't fallen prey to the belief this woman is invincible.

She won nothing today. She'd have the base in a new york minute. She doesn't need to pander to them. The people she needs to win she continues to alienate.

I still don't think any of the front runners for Reps or Dems at this time stand a good chance of being the candidate in '08. This includes Hill.

Happy thought, but at least in the run up to a nomination all
Hillary cares about is the base. This will be there and a lot
more. She is trying to present herself as a centrist. I don't see it working. If she gets the nomination in 08 that election will be even more nasty and partisan than this one.

Agreed. The media will insert the phrase "This could be history in the making, the first woman president" and all that blather about how America will look bad if we don't elect a woman president.

The MSM gets people into this kind of blinkered way of seeing things--framing the arguments as they see fit, and then casually dropping all of these supposedly high-priority issues the day after the election. (I mean, I don't think I've seen a single article or segment on the economy, job losses, Kerry's plan to get the troops out...all things which were sooooo important during the election.)

'06 and '08 will determine the future of the Democrat Party and many of the institutions that support them. It will be more bitter than this election regardless of whom is on the ballot.

Hillary doesn't need to convince the base she is a Liberal. She is Bill's wife and her past speaks for her. The base may be comprised of people in need of straitjackets, but they want to win an election. They dumped Dean (whom they loved) to support Kerry because he was a Lib they felt electable.

They may whine and throw tantrums as Hill pretends to be a conservative, but they would come home to her if they felt she was the best candidate to fool the American people and win.

Hill is the one Dem that doesn't have to pander to the lunactics openly, and she just did. This is why this moment just opened a chasm other Dems will be looking to enter as viable alternatives in '08. She presented a vulnerability in her new "conservative" image. The people she needs to win will be reminded of this years down the road.

She screwed up today. Only time will tell how big.

Weiner is no moron. That leaves shameful cynic.

He also presumes to run against Mayor Bloomberg this fall, and clearly sees benefit in a pander to his party's wacko wing.

I think we can all agree the reason why Hillary, and a handful of rats, embarked on this futile obstruction was to placate their base. They need to do this to raise money. They can thank Moore and Moveon for this self destructive act.

Schumer owes President Clinton
Clinton making one last effort for Schumer in New York - 10/30/98 WASHINGTON -- President Clinton Friday hurls himself into the middle of one of the nastiest and most expensive Senate races as he tries to convince New York voters that Charles Schumer, not Sen. Alfonse D'Amato, should be their second senator.

Schumer just won reelection with 71% of the vote. That is why he was chosen to mute Hillary. Schumer and Hillary are buddies. Schumer just elevated Hillary to the status of godlike to the left fringe. She bravely fought for the fundamental right to vote even against the barbs and taunts of her turncoat party. She's an outsider!!!

With enemies like Schumer...Who needs friends?

It's all about money right now. Hillary may run for reelection in 06. She may run for Prez in 08 and still retain her seat if she loses. This move did not hurt her in NY, and 4 years is a long time for voters to forget.

If Hillary wants to win in 2008 she needs money. Lots and lots and lots of money...to win re-election in the Senate, the presidential primaries, and the general election. I would need to use a lifeline - phone a friend to find out for sure, but I believe Hillary can raise money as a Senator from NY and use it to run for President. Tomorrow the direct mail from Sen Clinton goes out to President Clinton's donor list.

The recent recounts and the challenge to the confirmation of Bush's victory were not undertaken by the Democrats to achieve true counts, but to provide cover for the Democrats for past, present and future frauds. The Democrats are attempting to create a lasting impression that Republicans are solely responsible for imperfect elections.

I think a good deal of that was done with the 2004 election. It was scary to say the least, that enough people would believe the old media about Kerry which they didn't. And the old media's advantage there was that he started out an unknown outside of MA.

But with Hildebeast, if the old media fawn all over her, the people will pick up on that in a second. She's too well known for what they did with Kerry to work for her. Every sugar-coated story will be met with cynicism by pretty much everybody, and send the old media even further down that slippery slope.

I think they blew their chance with Kerry and it wasn't enough. And they've put people on notice as to how far they will go.

Said Clinton: "As we look at our election system, I think it's fair to say that there are many legitimate questions about its accuracy, about its integrity, and they are not confined to . . . Ohio."

Hannity and Rush are wrong about this, I think.

She's not sucking up to the DUmmies.

This is part of a carefully thought out, post-Florida 2000 strategy to discredit simple arithmetical counting of real votes by legal voters as the cast-iron bottom line of who wins and who loses.

What the real leaders of Boxer's silly little tantrum seek is twofold: First, that people wake up the day after an election, with all the votes counted, and say "I wonder who really won?"

Second, the proliferation of laws for election contests, ballot challenges, election courts and election judges. They want to put elections under the direct control of the Federal government unstead of under the unreviewable control of the People in their localities.

The reason they want this is simple: It's much easier for them to prevail in the courts or in a protracted, lawyer-driven "post-election" process than it is on election day.

It was insanity to collaborate in the "Help America Vote Act" to fix fictitious problems with the Florida 2000 vote. The only problem in Florida was that the democrats lost, and lacked the post-election cheating tools to recover in time.

NOW, they are willing to try to discredit a 100 000+ vote win, while affirming their 100-vote win in WA as sacrosanct.

This is going to get worse and worse, no doubt with the help of stupid Congressional Republicans.

There are no problems with the voting.

There are no problems with the voting.

There are no problems with the voting.

Hillary has this unfortunate(?) flaw in her character that no matter how hard she works at hiding her radical, socialist wickedness ... she eventually commits a gaffe that exposes it.

I think it's a Freudian-thing... going back to her childhood, something akin to getting the attention of an unaffected father.

Given our corrupt and compromised MSM, this 'flaw' may be the only thing that keeps her out of the White House.

Weiner — and Sen. Clinton — need to get a little perspective. It's not always about winning.

Maybe to the editors of the New York Post it's not. To hillary it is.

hillary may be a total witch and a totalitarian bitch but there is no doubt she and her assembled court-in-waiting is a crafty one. She doesn't tilt with windmills. She runs them.

She is making herself all things to all people plus setting a precedent for her run in 2008. If she loses in the polls it may be possible she can win it all in the Congress if the Democrats can get their majorities back. This little flap will be long forgotten and buried by the time 2008 rolls around - but the precedent won't.

This sets a precedent - a good one - for her to gain her ambitions!

Said Schumer: "My view is that you don't hold up the election unless there is concrete real evidence of fraud. I haven't seen that."

Yo, Chuckie-baby, have you looked at the State of Washington lately?

Hill has enough connections that money will not be an issue, especially if Terry remains Chair.

Again, the base will be with her (including N.Y.) if they believe she can win the "moderates". Those same people she needs to win would not be impressed by her actions in the Senate yesterday. And, people will be reminded of it. She's on Tape. It was a foolish move on her part.

say that there are many legitimate questions about its accuracy,
about its integrity, and they are not confined to . . . Ohio."

Beautiful analysis. Saint Condi Rice will beat Spawnette O'Satan in '08.

"That she has not been indicted and sentenced to extended jail terms several times is a mystery to those of us constrained to play by the rules."

Isn't our Declaration of Independence part of what Constitutes our Rules? Isn't it about the overthrow of tyrants? And tyrano-wannabes?

"What the real leaders of Boxer's silly little tantrum seek is twofold: First, that people wake up the day after an election, with all the votes counted, and say "I wonder who really won?"

Isn't BaBoxer related to the Clintons by marriage or blood? DiFi is as well, IIRC....

Thanks for the feedback and kind words, folks. Much appreciated. We all need to remember that as bad as Bill was, he pretty much just wanted to be president so he could get more chicks. Spawnette is evil incarnate, and we discount her chances at our own great peril.

Said Clinton: "As we look at our election system"

There she goes again, tacitly suggesting the electoral college isn't a viable way to elect a POTUS. What a wretched human being, I can see nothings changed about her since she was elected Senator of N.Y. State, not that I expected any change mind you.

I'm surprised her boyfriend, Lindsey Graham, wasn't there to cheer her on.

While I don't have any facts to prove it, I believe Linday Graham may be gay. There's just something about him that suggests it to me. However, it's his personal life and I respect his privacy. I only commented about my guess in response to your comment.

Heh. I don't know about Grahams' sex life either, but I have seen him shamelessly flattering and sucking up to Hillary on MTP, gushing over her "bipartisanship."

Blech.
