And the worst drivers of all are the ones coming out of the church parking lot on Sunday.
I had to laugh when I read this. This has been our experience, also. My husband and I have decided that one of the deadliest driving situations is people dropping off/picking up kids from Sunday School. I have literally feared for my and my children's safety. Pulling out without looking, driving like maniacs, going the wrong way, you name it. There seems to be an every-man-for-themself mentality. My husband does a great imitation: 'get out of my way ^%%^*()(*&*, I'm going to church!' Kind of sad, actually.
Amen to that....dad was always said to never write a check that your a** can't cash.
Maybe it was "'rhoid rage". You know, a bran muffin, three cups of coffee, and a huge traffic tie up!

You might be on to something here. The last few years I have noticed that movies increasingly portray women who easily best men in unarmed combat. As a woman, I can attest that without the element of surprise, this is nuts.
Some easily influenced women may be taking these fantasies to heart on the road. Sadly, they will live long enough to reproduce.
In my own experience in Chicago, whenever a driver aggressively moves forward to prevent me from merging, or changing lanes, or whenever a driver honks at a car that doesn't begin to accelerate precisely when the light turns red, that driver invariably is a woman.
My theory is that in the last 20 or so years, drivers have been warned not to react to a provocative driver because the incident could escalate to a shooting or stabbing. As a result, the roadways were made safe for belligerent drivers and women who are angry or especially aggressive have found it a safer haven to act out their aggressiveness on the roads.
I'd be curious if others have had a similar experience.

In my experience, 90% of SUV drivers don't know how to drive them (they're a truck, not a car) This includes men and women (and several friends of mine).
However, the biggest idiots on the road are always driving a Mercedes. I don't know why, but every time I see someone driving like an a**, it's always a Mercedes.
Oh, and Maine drivers. They are either doing 90 MPH, or 40 MPH. There is nothing in between.

I've also noticed many females cuss up a storm in public. They tried to sound tough...it just doesn't work for them. And the
last time heard females cussing in this manner, I just laughed at them.
That is a very interesting idea, and I think you're right. Unfortunately, if people rode motorcycles like I have in the past there would be alot less people to commit road rage!! I guess I will stick to my bicycle!!

You forgot to mention that they also line up the hood ornament with the centerline of the road.
