To: who knows what evil?

"That's nice, but you do not have a Constitutional right NOT to be offended."

I never said I did. Is there a Constitutional provision saying I'm not allowed to express the fact that I've been offended?

"Back, back to DU! There's no place for you here in the Free Republic!"

Note my reasoning for feeling offended. It wasn't because I prefer Democrats -- far from it. It's because I consider such glib references to God and Satan -- obviously intended as a punchline -- to be tantamount to taking the Lord's name in vain. You don't have to agree with me, but believe me -- I wouldn't fit in at DU.

"So YOU are now in the position to judge me and determine my eternal salvation?"

No, I certainly am not. I just didn't appreciate the glibness of using God and Satan as a punchline when plenty of good and decent people are Democrats. And I wonder how faithful it is use the Lord's name for snide and opportunistic purposes.

"The 'Rats promote same sex marriage, abortion on demand, sodomy of all types, totalitarian government, removal of God from schools and all public places, supporting the terrorists over Israel (need I go on?)"

Well, to make it accurate, most Democrats promote civil unions (which I'm against), abortion pretty darn close to on demand (which I'm vehemently against), income redistribution (against), prohibiting the inculcation of religion in schools but allowing silent prayer the mention of God (I generally agree, though I'm less doctrinaire), and a law-enforcement approach to capturing terrorists (which I find naive). Does this make them Satan? Maybe it's because I live in a big city and belong to a racial group that is almost unanimously Democratic -- most of my fellow Republicans, at least around here, are white guys far wealthier than I -- but I know that there are very, very faithful people of both political parties.

No, I'm still avoiding French food.

They may be good and decent but they don't have enough brains to fill a thimble or else they wouldn't blindly follow the leaders of the 'Rat Pack. The 'Rat party doesn't give a tinker's damn for the members of any minority except that they can keep them repressed in housing projects and on welfare and dependent of the federal government.

What the 'Rats do isn't just good intentions gone bad. If that was the case, they would change. No, instead they proceed down the same road with even more determination than before. Good lord, man! Take a look at what the leaders of the 'Rat Pack are saying! They say that the reason that they lost in '00, '02, and '04 is NOT because their message is going against the grain! No, they believe that it is because THE WEREN'T FAR LEFT ENOUGH!

Take a look at WHO is promoting and who is opposing school vouchers. Yes, there are a very few 'Rats who support it, but as a party platform plank, the 'Rats OPPOSE allowing poor inner city moms to decide which school to send their children. Why? Because the teacher's unions have bought them out with tens of millions of dollars.

Look at who opposes with every fiber of their being ANY limitation whatsoever on abortions. Do you think God would be for or would Satan be for abortion on demand?

The leaders of the 'Rat Pack aren't just naive and mislead. They are EVIL and they want nothing good for the United States.

You can choose to follow the Evil Party (aka the Democrat Party) and pretend that they are something other than that at your own peril but I will NOT change my tagline because it "offends" you. I want to offend every 'Rat Party loyal in the U.S.

As a matter of fact, the legislature has many times changed laws (amended them or even, over time, repealed them) that were passed by the people via Initiative. No, there is no supremacy to voter passed laws via Initiative. The only recourse is the ballot box if legislators vote to do that. And in Washington, politicians rarely pay for such behavior. This is the Soviet of Washington, after all.

You must be blind. I already said I don't follow the Democrats; I'm a very, very conservative Republican. It's apparently inconceivable to you that someone could have taken offense at your tagline on religious, rather than political, grounds.

If, however, you think Democrats are evil incarnate, I suppose I understand why you wouldn't think it's glib to use the tagline that you do. But you are really kidding yourself if you believe that. You really think half the country lacks any essential decency, and the dividing line falls according to party? Whatever. We rightly criticize liberals for crying "Nazi" whenever they encounter someone who disagrees with them; why must we cry "Satan"?

What would you call the practice of manipulating people's guilt so that they believe the only way they can be cured of it is to spread it? I would say such practices sure look like the work of Satan.

There are some good people within the Democratic Party. And there are some bad people in the Republican Party. But I know of nobody in the Republican Party who engages in the level of evil that is carried out by some parts of the Democratic Party.

Is there any outrage in WA State over this latest election steal? I remember poor Bob Dole now more than eight years ago going around the country asking, "Where's the outrage?" Sadly there was no outrage then, and there may be none now in heavily Democrat WA State. People in WA State are just conditioned to an all-Democrat government, and I doubt that many mind how this "democracy" is delivered for them.

Can you tell me what specifically you're referring to?

I do not use it glibly and using the words "evil" and "Satan" when I talk about the 'Rat Party. If someone finds offense that I say that Satan is a Democrat, then I really do not care why. That person is either too blind, too stupid, or just as evil as the leaders of the party. Evil is real in this world and a great deal of what the 'Rats stand for is evil. Guess what? If they perpetrate and facilitate evil, they ARE evil.
