Nice shirt. Good, sound message. Ideal Christmas present. Order a dozen. Give them to your friends. Start a new trend. Everyone should wear one. Place the same message onto billboards at every highway intersection.
And don't forget, deliberately wish everyone you see A VERY HAPPY CHRISTMAS.

LOUDLY.

I once saw a young man wearing a t-shirt at a sporting event that stated "Christianity Is For Losers", and it offended me.

Get real. So you were offended. The person had the right to blast chrisitanity if he wanted just as this kid in the article had the right to say Islam is a lie. Do you think freedom of speech is only for things that don't "offend" people? Freedom of speech means just that. If you don't like what someone says and you think you have a libel suit, sue them. This kid had every right to wear the shirt and people who were offended could sue him if they wish, but he wasn't being libelous and their suits would be thrown out. If we let this trend continue we will soon not be able to say anything that "offends" others. The reason the first amendment was written was so we could say what we want without fear of government reprisals. What do you call suspending this kid if it isn't a government reprisal?

It doesn't matter whether the sentiment expressed on the shirt is something we agree with or not - if it distracts other students then its not appropriate in school where the primary goal is education.

I'm sure he'll be prosecuted for making a true and simple statement of fact...

Agreed. However, CAIR does not think with commonsense like you and I do. So in this case, I will support the kids cause-no matter what.

Uniforms in public schools are a good idea...but government schools just simply are garbage.

I don't know what CAIR is threatening legal action against this kid.....I mean if he is crashing planes into a building shouting "Allah hu Akbar" I can understand that the wording on his T-shirt is offensive....Since 1994, from what I have seen, CAIR has become more and more aggressive in America...it needs to be annihilated and routed out of the American society.

Islam is a lie. Hell, I'd wear that shirt in public areas.

you better make sure your packing heat with a lot of knockdown power! Otherwise the practitioners of the "religion of peace" might saw off your head with a dull butcher knife when they see you wearing that shirt.I'm suprised this kid made it to third period alive to be sent to the office.

"We have to be careful about hate speech and making sure the civil rights of other students are not violated by persons bringing hateful material into schools," he said."

No, Mr. Humeidan, it isn't "hate speach," it's the truth.

CAIR has learned from our indigenous subversives in America to use American freedom to destroy our freedom.

I agree. It's a cool tee -- I'd wear it -- but it doesn't belong in school. And I doubt a 12 yr old boy feels all that strongly about the cause.

I think the T-shirt is offensive, and that has nothing to do with whether its constitutionally protected speech or not -- nor, for that matter, whether it is true or not. Just because you have the right to say it, that doesn't make it the right thing to say.

Do you tell a fat woman to her face that she is a fat pig? Of course not -- unless you're a bona fide a**hole. And insulting someone's religion is no way to win converts. Take President Bush's professed tolerance for peaceful Islam as an example. By calling Islam a "lie," you accomplish nothing but to create hostility toward yourself, your religion, and your ideology.

The back of the T-shirt read: "Homosexuality is a sin, Islam is a lie, abortion is murder. Some issues are just black and white!"

So this 12 year old is in trouble because of the truth on his T Shirt?
