Found him again a few days later -- out in the elements again and hovering on the shady side of herpetological coma. I nick-named him Brain Dead. Even at 4 feet, he's no threat to the dogs or cats, so he has free movement when I'm at home. He is currently coiled up under the desk lamp.

The root cause is that illegal aliens have governments that care nothing for their people. In addition, we have a government that caters to illegal aliens at the expense of Americans.

That's quite a leap. I never said the illegals were on the verge of revolt. I said ripping 15 million from their homes and shipping them to Mexico, where they cannot sustain themselves, is a recipe for disaster. You are partially correct. It is a recipe for disaster for the wannabe Spanish Dons who now rule every aspect of Mexican life. The rest of the population are just peons to them, human chattel to be used or abused as they see fit.

Anecdotal evidence is not proof, just as the brutal slaying of children at Columbine was not proof toward banning guns, or against the existence of God. It's just sad. There is a child in Mexico who's father was shot by bandits and sister raped by the responding Sheriff. Life sometimes sucks. You have my sympathy but my opinion remains my opinion.

The Spaniards tried to establish a presidio a few miles northeast of my house about the time of the French & Indian Wars. The Apaches turned it into an exotic game preserve, allowing a few survivors to escape back to Mexico less than two years later. The Mexicans never even tried tried to come back until the 4th US Cavalry had the area under control in 1875.
