Can't be, the Senate has a Constitutional minimum age of 30. (25 in the House, 35 for President)

If he was a three-eyed, twelve-toed, spawn of Satan, voters in Delaware would come out in droves to vote for the guy.

Maybe it's the plagiarism? I hear that's popular at NYU.

And why they keep electing him in Delaware is beyond me. I know I never voted for him.

It's tough to knock out an incumbent senator.
To: thoughtomator
Ok, you're right I had forgotten about that. Then he was barely 30.
I didn't live in Delaware when he was first elected, but the story has practically become political lore there about how the young upstart upset the beloved statesman.

Biden first ran for president in 1988, but was forced to withdraw after acknowledging he had padded his resume and plagiarized a speech I've always remembered Biden for that. Every time I see or hear of him, I remember when and why he folded his campaign.
Joe Biden and Gary Hart. Ah, yes, those were the good ol' days, when character mattered.

He brings home the pork for Delaware. It's a good tactic for being re-elected.

It's tough to knock out an incumbent senator. Tell that to the late Bill Roth.
That is also how Biden got into the Senate.

I didn't say it couldn't be done (Tom Daschle) it's just tough.

He brings home the pork for Delaware. It's a good tactic for being re-elected. He brings home the pork for NORTHERNDelaware. It's a good tactic for being re-elected by the liberal northeast transplants in the northern part of the state.
That's better.

One thing I'm certain of in this otherwise uncertain world: Joe Biden will never be President of the United States -- unless he has zero competition in the Dem primaries and the Republicans run an absolute stinker of a candidate. Both circumstances are about as likely as my waking up one day to find that Gov. Schwarzenegger has lost his ego.

I know how tough it is. I worked on the campaign of the Republican that ran against him the last 2 times.

NO offense but I didn't think Delaware was big enough to have a northern and a southern section.

VA has open registration and so if he makes it to the primaries I will get to vote against him again, even though I no longer live in Delaware.

As far as I'm concerned Hillary is the Dem nominee in 2008 unless something unforeseen takes place.
