Germans prefer money to sex, a new survey for Playboy magazine shows.

Asked whether next year they would prefer more money, more regular sex or extra free time, 62 percent of the 1,000 Germans polled opted for cash, compared with just six percent choosing sex. Twenty-six percent plumped for free time.

The full survey results will be published Wednesday in the German edition of Playboy for January.

Wouldn't it be interesting to re-phrase the question: "What would you like -- lower taxes, more sex, or more free time?"

I beg to differ, FRiend. I left my job last month, and my new job doesn't start for another couple of weeks. All the free time was great at first, but now it's really getting old. I've come to realize that free time is like any other commodity; the more you have, the less you value it. That being said, I know in a few months, after I've been working hard week after week, I'll be wishing I was in the spot I'm in right now....

This statement could be highly misleading, I think. Saying that they'd choose more money over more sex could just mean that they're already getting plenty of sex now. I mean, when you only work 30-35 hours a week, it's reasonable to assume that you're spending at least some of that time doing the horizontal mambo, if only out of sheer boredom.

Actually, the main thing is, while I have all this free time, my friends don't. So all my quality time is still on the weekends, but spending most week days by myself is getting boring. I've been playing a lot of golf at my uncle's course alone, but it's not as fun without friends.
