"Maybe if they got jobs instead of blowing things up, they'd have a growing economy."
Sure, but $20 million won't give them jobs. They should receive some aid, but rather food, medicine etc. instead of cash, because cash will be probably frauded.

This is disgusting because no matter what America does, you will always be hated by these people. When America acts, America is hated, when America steps back, America is blamed for the end result (usually bad). America cannot win against the world wide slander campaign aimed against it.

I doubt Bush sat down at his desk and said "Let's see, I want to give the PA $20M dollars today. Where is my check book?". While I disagree with the donation, I'm sure it was cranked out of the government bureaucracy.
Also, the editors of the article must have been gleeful to title the piece "Bush Gives Palestinians $20 Million".

I love the way politicians throw our hard earned tax dollars around like it was theirs to give. LMAO
I don't recall hearing W ask if he could give twenty mil to the Palestinians???
Until the Palestinians realize that there are consequences for their actions, they will continue to terrorize.
And paying their utility bills for them while they bomb the neighborhood and murder is not going to make them aware of the consequences of their actions....
Their economic straits will never improve as long as people are getting blown up in the neighborhood...
It's really not rocket science, folks.

The Palestinian Authority is facing a severe financial crisis due to Suha Arafat not giving the passcodes to Yasser's offshore bank accounts. FRmail me to be added or removed from this Judaic/pro-Israel ping list.
WARNING: This is a high volume ping list

Sure it can.
It's the lying liberals in govt. and media around the world who are on borrowed time now, thanks to cable and the internet. The voices of the people are slow to gather, but they almost always gets things right in the end. And, it's of course irresistable...

Bush is an idiot sometimes...
If the "palestinians" diverted weapons and explosives expenses from their budget, they could easily have five times that amount for productive things.

Merry Christmas from our
liberal president. < / sarcasm >
He just gave money to a terrorist organization who will use it to kill innocent Israelis, and would kill Americans with it if they could.
To: yonif
Was this someone in the State Department making a last christmas bonus to their friends in the PA before they get cleaned out by condi ?
Or did Bush sign this personally ?

If the money dried up the whole PA would simply collapse, ending the problem it has created.
I just simply don't understand why the US keeps propping up that organization...
To: kellynla
Let's allow Bush to use all the tools at his disposal to sway the PA. Bush is about to make a major push to get peace in the middle east. Being seen as generous (to both sides) and non-partisan is a good negotiating ploy, on both sides of the issue.
It's the carrot and stick, writ large. Give it a chance - we all know that Bush is not easily fooled and will make maximum use of that aide.
