CLEVELAND (AP) -- Ohio counties finished certifying votes in the presidential race Wednesday, and the results showed that election officials accepted about 77 percent of the provisional ballots that were cast.
Ohio's 88 counties reported validating 121,598 provisional ballots from 156,977 checked, according to an Associated Press tabulation. The deadline for counties to certify election results was Wednesday.
Secretary of State Kenneth Blackwell plans to certify the final result Monday.
President Bush's margin of victory against John Kerry on Nov. 2 was 136,483 votes. Kerry conceded after figuring he would not get enough of the provisional ballot vote to overtake Bush's total.
Provisional ballots are used when poll workers cannot immediately confirm if a voter was properly registered.
Carlo LoParo, a spokesman for Blackwell's office, said there will be no available breakdown of how many provisionals went to Bush or Kerry. He said the final tally will be inclusive of all votes.
Meanwhile, a lawyer representing at least 25 voters who feel their right to vote was violated said he would file a lawsuit Thursday directly to the Ohio Supreme Court. Cliff Arnebeck said the case will seek to document that election abuses in Ohio were widespread.

New target acquired; Republican Electors.
Friends,
I propose that we need to prepare lists of all Republican electors in the nation for the purpose of contacting them directly to convince them to change their vote to Kerry.
We'd need; Name, home address, phone number, FAX number, and email address for as many Republican electors as we can find.
We should also prepare contact materials so that people will have an idea of what arguments might work with a Republican. I think we should impress upon them that their future safety depends on a Kerry victory, as Bush has mismanaged things to the point of making us all less safe daily.

The Greens and Libertarians are suing for a recount but Bush won by at least 130,000 votes and the margin of loss for a recount is one quarter of 1 percent so it looks like NO RECOUNT in OHIO!!

I love the fact that the Secy of State is not going to

Actually Brokaw did get to project Ohio for Bush early on the morning of Nov 3, when NBC joined Fox in calling the state. I will never forget his words: "This race is essentially over" as NBC gave Ohio to Bush. :) At that point he had 269 electorals.

I'm a little confused though. How can they not have a breakdown of how the provisionals went when all the counties released their numbers, at least as reported by that Ohio Vote Suppression site? Can't the SOS office just count all those numbers and give a total vote tally?
In any case, it looks as if the good guys won by about 120,000. Good enough!

It looks like certification is not going to taker place until December 11, and then the Dims will have 1 1/2 days over the weekend for the Greenes/Libertarian sponsored recount.
So that works out to one full Saturday the week before Christmas! lol..

Cliff Arnebeck said the case will seek to document that election abuses in Ohio were widespread. Yeah, they were only allowed to vote once and those evil GOP poll-watchers wouldn't let these poor disenfranchised Dems' dead grandparents have a say in the election.

It really is bad that a single state gets scrutinized like this, but not the others. It's bad precedent. I mean, what if they had somehow managed to turn this one state around, by hook or by crook, and it was too late for the Republicans to call for another look into states like Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, etc.? I know the Republicans were comfortable with Ohio standing firm, even after the provisionals, but it's still risky and a potential problem in the future.

This appears to be the final numbers from "ohvotesuppression.blogspot.com". Even though a lib site, it at least tracked all the counties and number of provisional votes.
"Thursday, December 02, 2004
Summary of provisional ballots count - UPDATED 12/2/04
Note: 88 of 88 counties have reported.
Current % of provisionals counted: 79%
Current "additional" vote count:
Bush +61,505
Kerry +79,482
Difference: Kerry +17,977"
------------------------------------------------------------
With this, Bush Won (again) by a margin of 118,506 votes. So even if there was a recount and a 100% of the 93,000 over/under votes went to Kerry, he could not win. Now on with the BUSH INAUGURATION
To: raptor29
Believe me this is not the only state. The DUmmies are trying to get the votes counted again in Florida. Anything to try to sneak in more votes for Kerry. Jeeze even Kerry admits he lost.
