Could it be VC on top of the NVA?

They were illegal combatants so its kind of hard to determine who was VC I guess.

From what I’ve read – with the help of an Army Historian – the VC were organized in main force units for Tet’68. It was primarily large formations that were well organized and controlled.

You were there? In what capacity? Any story behind it?

I was with the US Army’s 329 TC (HB) running resupply to the Marines in Hue and Dong Hoa on the Perfume and Cua Viet Rivers.
This link (gatech.edu site) has a short explanation of our mission, and a link (Robert Scott)to a couple of my stories – the first one is a story of utter stupidity – no, make that “a learning experience”.

I think people with aptitude tests that are too high should be used in some other manner. As I guess I am an apprentice scientist and the most obscenely brilliant people I deal with are pretty darn nonfunctional.

I guess maybe they are kind of borderline autistic. I'm not sure they would make very good soldiers.
