Trustees," includes donations from 57 individuals, couples, or other entities. IRS reports reviewed by the Sun show that the foundations at this level have generally given or pledged $1 million or more. The Wasserman Foundation of Los Angeles, founded by movie mogul Lew Wasserman, gave the Clinton library $3 million. The Roy and Christine Sturgis Charitable Trust pledged $4 million. The Anheuser-Busch Foundation has given $200,000 annually for the last several years as part of what appears to be a $1 million pledge. The Annenberg Foundation also gave $1 million. The Saudi royal family and the governments of Dubai, Kuwait, and Qatar donated at this "Trustee" level, as did the governments of Brunei and Taiwan. Also listed as trustees are three Saudi businessmen - Abdullah Al-Dabbagh, Nasser Al-Rashid, and Walid Juffali. Other notables at the "Trustee" level include the deputy prime minister of Lebanon, Issam Fares; Hollywood director Steven Spielberg and his wife, actress Kate Capshaw, and an heir to the Wal-Mart fortune, Alice Walton. The next tier down is "Philanthropists."

A major New York labor organization, Local 1199 of the Service Employees International Union, donated at this level, which appears to correspond to gifts of $500,000 to $1 million. Also donating in this range was the editor of the Las Vegas Sun, Brian Greenspun, who was one of Mr. Clinton's roommates at Yale. On the level below that are the "Humanitarians."

"Humanitarians" seem to have given between $100,000 and $500,000. In their ranks are the King of Morocco, Mohammed VI, as well as a Pakistani-American businessman from California, Farooq Bajwa. Several perennial Clinton donors are on this list, such as the Big Apple Supermarkets chief, John Catsimatidis, and a San Diego class action lawyer, William Lerach. The U.S.-Islamic World Conference gave at the Humanitarian level, as did several Jewish groups

Clinton was the first President to build his library Without Federal Tax Dollars. All the others have been built using primarily your money.

Which way do you prefer they be built?

The Arabs like Clinton because the know what he is. He will do anything for a buck, no matter what, and the Arabs are not stupid...they know a soft touch when they see one. The other element is Billary --- they are lining the coffers already to buy good favor with such a One-World Socialist Party that Billary would promote.

So the bucks for the Clinton "library" are no suprise..Clinton was always working to gain favor with every despotic government on the face of the planet. A tryly great American.

My guess is that the Republican Congress will change the law and make the Federal Tax Payer build Dubya's Library.

I gave $5 specifically to help build the "Monica Wing".

I want my money back.

Apparently Marc Rich funneled his "contribution" through one of the named organizations -- wonder which one.

You do realize, don't you, that most of this money was given while he was sitting in the Oval Office, right?

That's not true.

Business people, except perhaps lucky idiot widows and Hollywood simpletons, don't give away money for such vanity projects without expecting something in return. As EagleUSA notes above, these Saudis and Budweiserburgers are buying influence and not necessarily future influence, what with Hitlery sitting in the Senate, and Bubba, let's not kid ourselves, with a direct phone line to each cabinet appointee and the Oval Office as well.

Now, we need to cross check the list of Clinton donors with the individuals Willie pardoned and the list of folks/organizations Saddam gave oil vouchers to.

It has long been clear to me that the prime reason that Willie's faithful have been so vigorous about their being no connection between OBL-9/11-terrorism and Iraq-Saddam has nothing to do with the rationale for freeing Iraq. It is an issue that any investigation would show that Willie was taking money/pledges to not chase OBL too effectively.

The real money came from the Saudis who paid Willie to miss. OBL got a heads up any time there were missles in the air. The Saudis didn't know about 9/11 'til after (probably!) and Willie thought it was just another profitable scam. Willie taking money/pledges does explain why Foster was murdered and why Monica was just a diversion that went father than anyone expected (didn't you ever wonder how a lab working for Janet Reno actually said that Willie was responsible for the stain on the blue dress when it would have been so easy for the FBI to do what it had done so well - fake results?).

Let's see if we can set up a list ala the Winter Soldier time line and get individual researching one or two names!

Wow, I was not aware the Nixon did not take Federal Dollars to build his library.

Why did he choose to build without tax dollars?

That's a pretty tough question. I suppose one shouldn't mind private funding as long as it is done AFTER the President in question leaves office. Before that seems to me to be a bit like bribery, and Lord knows we have enough of that in politics, particularly in the Clinton administration.
