Depends on what China's plans are and whether they can acheive peaceful change. Otherwise, it could be very ugly.

This is not such entirely good news, because it hints that the Chinese may be making North Korea a protectorate. Where does that leave Korean reunification? It could mean that ultimately they wish to control all of Korea.

The Chinese would not like a reunified, democratic, capitalistic Korea right on their borders. They currently have no such country so close, except for Hong Kong, which they now own.
