Boots for Suits: Send children's rain boots to Iraqi kids
KVI 570 Radio ^

Posted on 11/16/2004 10:29:38 PM PST by poindexter

As many of you heard, Lt. Bryan Suits wants to collect boots and warm socks to hand out to the Iraqi kids. Most of them are still wearing sandals although the weather has grown colder and it rains a lot.

If you would like to help out Bryan, you can by sending him children's -sized rubber rain boots and wool socks. Packages can be mailed directly to Bryan at: Lieutenant Bryan Suits C CO, TF161INF 3BCT, 1CavDiv APO AE 09348

Thanks for supporting Boots for Suits!

Here's a simple yet meaningful way to help some kids in Iraq. Bryan Suits was a talk host on KVI in Seattle. His reserve unit was called up and sent to Iraq, and he talks to KVI frequently. Recently, when asked what he needed, he asked that people send him children's rain boots for the kids in the villages in his area. I myself went to Goodwill and bought 5 pairs of kid's boots to send to Bryan. It was cheap and will help some kids a lot.

Awesome! It says wool socks. Living in AZ I'm not used to seeing wool socks. Any suggestions?

How sad for you... Here in Montana we have lots and lots and lots and lots of them. I could mail you a pair and you'd have some too. :)

I went to the local thrift store, Value Village and picked up all they had for kids boots, 2 pair. Were in really good shape, total cost about $7. Also bought some wool blend socks @ Costco and sent those and other soldier specific goodies, candy, beef jerkey etc to Lt. Suits last week. Will be sending another package either today or next week.
