He said he spoke to officials who gave him the figures, which are yet to be entered because of all the problems they had with the system being down.

O.k. That sounds like the Bernalillo County folks who had the computer problems earlier today. This would mean that of the 5,800 votes counted, 3,300 of them (57%) went to Kerry which lowers the President's total down to about a 5,000 vote lead. Let's hope that the other counties yet to report provisional votes don't take it down much further.

To me, the obvious interpretation is completely the opposite: it indicates something suspicious on all those (D)s who asked for and cast provisional ballots though they were not properly registered to vote, had already voted, etc. Yep. Postive proof that the Democrats were attempting voter fraud in the thousands, while the Republicans were honestly voting. Integrity, integrity, integrity. Kerry knows the word, but its Republicans who have it, most Democrats don't.

The ABQJournal/AP has Bush up by 8,333 votes with a total B+K of 737,053 votes
No offense - but that sounds like 'Rat math. If Bush started with an 8300 vote lead - and Kerry got 3300 of the 5800 provisionals - what happened to the other 2500 provisionals? Thrown on the floor? Tossed out the window? Accidentally used for toilet paper? Given NM's election history - I wouldn't doubt any of those scenarios. But unless I'm missing something - the lead should only be cut by 800 (3300 - 2500), leaving Bush with a 7500 vote lead. Can anybody comment on this?

What's striking is a guy Kerry's age being taught "integrity, integrity, integrity" by his own mother.

"...unless I'm missing something - the lead should only be cut by 800 (3300 - 2500), leaving Bush with a 7500 vote lead. Can anybody comment on this?"OK, I will ...and I agree with your conclusion. Obviously, if there were 5,800 votes counted and Kerry got 3,300 of them, then someone else got the other 2,500 votes, and I think we can all agree that very few of those votes, if any, went to Nader, Badnarik, Cobb or Peroutka.

No, it would mean that Kerry would need to *net* 3,300 votes. If 5,800 were cast, it would mean that Kerry got 4,550 and Bush got 1,250, so Kerry got over 78% of the votes cast in that batch of provisional ballots. Either that was one heck of a Democrat neighborhood, or there's some funny business going on.
