Sure we could, we let those goofs who developed it test it while a gang-banger is busting caps at their collective a**es!
If you think lawsuits against gun manufacturers are out of control now, just wait until these hit the market.
This may be the new SUV of the "evil" inanimate object lawsuits.
"It said right on the box that the gun was smart! I want the money due me for accidentally shooting my husband."
As I recall when smart guns were proposed about 4 years ago, the condition was that LEO's would be exempt from using them
Thanks for the info and instruction. I never played with image size before. That's some default setting! Mostly, I just cut or copy and paste. If you go to the source URL, your image appears to be twice the size of the original.
So true it hurts.
This is just another step to banning all handguns in NJ.
Hmm. perhaps that 1.1 million could be better used developing a smart gun grabber. Then again, I kinda like 'em dumb.
Safety Device:
A mechanical device that can and will fail.

I think this is going to apply with new gun sales/transfers. Which I why I'm going to buy the last pistol I need to complete my "collection".
This is such BS. Makes my blood boil.
I have a door stop (stack of documents shrink wrapped) in my office that is the result of an old federal multi million dollar grant to study the military application of the "frisbee"...........
Phucm !
Before they ban regular guns, these must be proven safe and effective by mandatory use in all police agencies in a state contemplating a mandate.
This article says "any". Other articles at the time also imply same, exempting only antique and inoperable weapons and police officers.
The default setting varies with the size of the image file in pixels. If you have a large, high resolution image, you are playing havoc with those who are stuck with dial-up modems. They are best avoided.
...not to mention when the gun fails because you didn't grip it just right, or because it has dirt and/or blood on it. In general, more complex weapons just fail more.
If you don't want others shooting your gun, then don't let them get it.
If smart guns are such a great idea, then police depts should love them! A very high percentage of police officers are shot with their own weapons. The fact is, the police will never use so-called smart guns. They aren't going to be reliable enough. They need 100% reliability If they aren't good enough for the police, they aren't good enough for the rest of us. End of story.
Cool! Even I can do it!
