Actually, given Arnold's upbringing with German as his primary language, he'd be just as likely to refer to a losing "thing" as a loser as he would to a losing person. Someone raised speaking typical American colloquial English would know, however, that ordinary "loser" refers to a person and only secondarily refers to losing notions or concepts.

That's OK, but then the outspoken California went too far in calling the democrats "Big gay stinky piggies who need to be spit on... Regularly." I think that is indiscreet of Arnold, but maybe that's just me.
