"What ever happened with the acid rain? Do you remember the acid rain, which by the year 2000 will wipe out all our forests? "

I sure remember...There was even a serious production on pubic TV about how acid rain was destroying fir trees in the Smoky Mountains. Oh they had lots of measurements and data to convince one..
Well, turned out to be a moth that was killing the trees.

Some of my stupid questions.

1. How do molecules with high atomic weights that are fairly stable get into the bososphere to do all that damage? Take R11/22/501 or any other Freon and let it loose. It will SINK straight to the floor where it will stay. Look at their atomic weights!

2. Assuming the cell theory (In respect to weather) is true. By the way, that's what all our modern weather analysis is based upon. How do these CFCs produced in Europe and North America get to the North and South pole?

Does anyone know anything about reports of receding glaciers? Is glacial melt resulting in sea level increases around the world? A graph would be great.

Global Warming

What is interesting to me fred, is that the leftist kooks never cry when Mt. St. Helens spews smoke in the air, or any other volcano for that matter. But you never considered that now, did'ja, kook?

If the glaciers melt, the sea levels would rise and flood back into the Jordan river and Dead sea basin creating a wonderful new tourist economy for Israel. Maybe global warming was Mr. Bush's idea after all. Go Bush!

How could 0.3% carbon dioxide affect the climate - you are talking about 1 molecule of CO2 per 333 molecules of air - not to mention CO2 is heavier than air - i.e. close to the ground, and i.e, not likely to trap heat.

First of all, thank you for visiting. I hope you can stay longer than a few minutes.

I believe absolutely in global warming. It has happened hundreds of times in the past, and will happen hundreds of time in the future.

I equally absolutely believe that it is not anthropogenic. And if you can't understand that word, you shouldn't be attempting informed adult conversation.

Best regards.

This doesn't give us the right to pollute though.

The only one thus far who has suggested that it does...

.is... you

I think it's awfully cold right now. What do you think? W/o cloud cover it usually gets warmest right around 4:30 and then pretty soon the sun goes down and it cools right off.

That's right. The fact that Global Warming is garbage science does not make pollution good.

Global worming?
A myth pandered by bored psuedo-scientists.
They have to justify their miserable existences, so they crank out pulp every few months claiming that global COOLING is actually global worming.
The abnormally LOW temperatures this year, for my area at least, were supposedly due to global worming.
Figure that one out.

It's a scientifically proven bunch of baloney.

Not exactly. There have been many warming and cooling periods during the existence of the earth. The part about humans causing it has never been scientifically shown to be correct.
