He won't do that, however he WILL destroy any semblance of mandate that may have been created by a Dubya win, through litigation. Contesting the vote, will be a ploy so they can maintain a base fervor within the party during Dubyas second term.

I agree about the political suicide issue that you mention regarding this challenge. In talking with Move on. org attorneys today at polls in NH, I have to tell you that we both agreed that it doesn't get dragged out in litigation.
This in the long term, could hurt the Dems seriously...only getting support from the Michael Moore faction.
