LANSING, Mich. (AP) -- Some Michigan voters have received phone calls falsely claiming that Sen. John Kerry would make gay marriage legal. In New Jersey, some voters have heard a man claiming to be former Army Gen. Norman Schwarzkopf backing the Democrat. Elderly voters in Pennsylvania have been called and told they are ineligible to vote.
Republicans and Democrats were furious Monday about the blatantly false, 11th-hour political calls to voters and demanded an end to the messages.
Schwarzkopf has endorsed President Bush, but in a recording of a phone call played for The Associated Press, a man identifying himself as the Persian Gulf War general says, "In 2000, I voted for George W. Bush, but this year I'm voting for John Kerry. ... John Kerry has a real plan to make our military stronger and to go after terrorists wherever they hide. We need a vote for change, vote for John Kerry."

As always with libera scum, telling the truth about their guy is morally equivalent to their lies about our guy.
Was McPeak in the Gulf War? Hannity used to have him on all the time till McPeak started speaking against Pres. Bush. He could be the Gulf General.

Yeah, just like Republicans going around and stealing Kerry/Edwards signs. Lies, lies, lies, I tell ya...Democrats always accuse Republicans of doing what they themselves are doing.
This morning I heard a lady on the radio saying she got a call with Bush's bumbles on it. She traced it and found out the number came from the Arizona Republic newspaper.
Gen. Norman Schwarzkopf Calls On DNC To Stop Fraudulent Phone Calls Claiming He Has Endorsed Kerry
If there was one decent newspaper out there that would come out in the A.M. that just listed every dirty trick the left has pulled, along with every flip flop and liberal vote of Kerry, this would be all over. Of course, that would take up the entire paper!
Then again, I am a 45-year-old black moderate woman (democrat) who is voting for Bush because of his fiscal programs (tax policy) ....
At least according to the telephone poll I finished a few minutes ago.
I don't know if we will ever see a book of all the fraud committed by Democrats this election over the past 2 years.
It will soon be over (then they will set their sights on taking back Congress and blocking Supreme Court nominations).
This is almost exactly the text of that McPeak call I had before I hung up on it.
I have no clue what they are saying. I just hang up. It has been going on all day long, and nothing can possibly be done about it until 18 months from now.
I'm complaining about false and misleading posts on FR today. Not this one, but the trolls who have been waiting for weeks to post Dem spin.
Luckily no one has called me,but I have seen the McPeak ad on FNC
I got the Gen. Norman Schwarzkopf call yesterday, the caller stated he was "Gen. Norman Schwarzkopf".
I hope not. Re not this one, as I generally post a link unless it is vanity
Phone scampaigns generally slide by under the radar of the Mainstream Media.
It is good to see the Stormin' Norman has stepped up to denounce this tactic.
Meanwhile I have not heard Osama Bin Laden speak up to say that he didn't REALLY endorse John Kerry (Walter Cranky Cronkite claims the terrorist tapes are a hoax by Karl Rove).
Yeah, I had the same reaction to the robotic call on my answering machine when I arrived home just now. The call itself referred to the supposed falsehood, in a message I've never received. My guess is, and any such calls as there were originated with the Kerry campaign itself, in a sinister attempt to make GWB look like he's resorting to dirty tricks. All it takes to blow Kerry out of the water is to listen to Kerry.
