But why did the gay issue suddenly cause some of them to vote Republican? Why do they have a bigger problem with that than the other liberal anti-religious issues?

As I said, my suspicion is that they don't want to share the spotlight with a new competing civil rights movement.

I'm with you. My next door neighbor's house and the next house up the street are owned by a black Baptist preacher. Truly good people. No complaints from me.

Interestingly, though, Margaret Sanger, a founder of the birth control movement in the '20's, was a thoroughgoing racist who believed in controlling black births. This fact isn't mentioned in feminist circles.

No, they are finally waking up to the reality that the Democratic party has been a destructive to their lives. They are not concerned about the 'gays'as a minority movement.

If they were to be concerned with another minority group it would be the Hispanics.

I've heard that too. Now, you have to be pretty good friends with a liberal before they say something so stupid, something that would kill any nomination to a post requiring Senate confirmation. But when they have lost every other argument, these so-called liberals whisper conspiratorily that without abortion, the demographics of this country would be very different. Egad! What idiots.

No one has to monitor 24/7. You don't need to search to find older posts.

Possibly, you're looking at latest posts and that makes it difficult for you to find older articles?

This may help: Go to http://www.freerepublic.com/home.htm. Click on "latest articles," NOT on "latest posts."

Scroll down and you can see all articles. Click on "see more results" and you can see older articles. No need to search.

If you only look at current articles, then you will only see current articles.

Articles do NOT need to be reposted in violation of the rules (see my above post). Duplicates run up the FR server capacity requirements and, accordingly, the costs incurred by FR. They can be easily found by just scrolling down and clicking back.

It's not true. The demographics would not change at all. There just would be more people of each group. However, that doesn't compute with liberals. They think they're being thoughtful when they say things like well look at all the unwanted black babies in adoption centers. People should not have kids that aren't wanted. Or the other one... People shouldn't have kids they can't take care of so let them abort. Most of the black women I have met can more than take care of children, they are just selfish as are all women who have abortions. Even so, I've stopped discussing abortion with liberals because they're not capable of deep thinking.
