150,000 to 200,000 Viet Nam veterans have committed suicide.

That is completely false.

An apology from Kerry at this time would mean nothing, other than to reinforce what an opportunist he is. A more appropriate and timely apology would be one from the 40+% of Americans who apparently support him.

How could one possibly vote against a hero like John Kerry? He's a patriotic Irish-Catholic family man from Massachusetts, where they really know how to pick'em. I certainly would not want to disappoint his fellow Massachusetts Representatives, like Barney Frank, and that other fellow, what's his name? You know, the heavy-set fellow with the dead girl in his car?

Just look at the quality of Cabinet Member this fine Hibernian Gentleman will select for us. For Secretary of State we'll get Richard Holbrooke, the Soros creature, who helped Bill Clinton hand Kosovo back to its apparently rightful owners, the Albanians, while bombing Serbia back to the Stone Age.

Yes, Joe, you need to watch some Chris Matthews over the next couple of days to get the straight story here.

An apology is not good enough, some of the vets were tortured beyond description and spent much longer in the prison because of Kerry and his group. He basically is doing the same thing now as then. Damn America first.

Stolen Honor is being shown on PAX and other stations through Newsmax. You can find out if you can view the film just go to :

There were 125000 suicides a few years ago. The number is over 125000. 200000 is probably a little high but up there. I have been looking for new info but have not found it. It is not completely false!

It is completely false, and it's part of the leftist propaganda about the Vietnam War. Here's a 1990 study that estimated that fewer than 9,000 Vietnam veterans (out of 2.6 million) had committed suicide as of the mid-1980s. In Stolen Valor, B.G. Burkett cites a Centers for Disease Control study showing that the suicide rate among Vietnam vets was very slightly higher than that of civilians during the first five years after they served in the war. After that, it was slightly lower.

The claim that Vietnam veterans have an unusually high suicide rate is absolutely untrue.

Try the reference of the website HTTP://WWW.capveterans.com/caprd_004.htm which says that 150000 Viet Nam veterans have committed suicide.

Thirty-three years, 6 months, and 10 days too late, but who's counting?

It's a lie. See the academic study I just posted.

He can keep his friggin apology, he will never be respected by any Vietnam Vet. I am at a LOSS for words knowing that a US NAVY SEAL and Congressional Medal of Honor recipient could even "THINK" of voting for this scum.

Party over principle?

Please.........not from a CMOH recipient!!

This is something I would not mind being wrong about. I was just using it to put some blame on Kerry for his lies that made it very hard on some vets.
