I haven't read the link yet, but isn't that something along the lines of what Walter Cronkite is thinking? (via Drudge)

I really think that a majority of Americans have completely forgotten the aftermath of 9/11.
And that is of course because the media sanitized it for
us, the aftermath, the dead, all wisked down the memory
hole and what we were left with was a couple of burning
buildings that collapsed.
Now those of us who are online, and our numbers continue to
grow, saw the pictures of the jumpers, we have read the
obits of those who died and many of us knew or knew the
families of those who died.
We will not forget, we will not forgive, we will avenge.

most Labour MPs are privately 'praying morning, noon and night' for a Kerry victoryLucifer must be tired of all the bloody whining by now.

Well, in the original link he has not elaborated on the topic; but as he's now pretty old and possibly... er... how to put it tactfully... somewhat fogged, I undertook to clarify and explicate.

He may be getting senile, but looking back at his career, I think he's always been a commie.

Not for the faint of heart indeed. Wow. Great letter.
I'll be saving that one.

Don't put that much stock into a single poll. Look at all the polls from the past week, as summarized at http://www.realclearpolitics.com/bush_vs_kerry.html. There are currently nine polls listed in the most recent week available (as determined by the mid-date of the poll). Only three of these polls show Bush in a statistically significant lead over Kerry: Newsweek, GW/Battleground, and CNN/USA Today/Gallup, with 6%, 5%, and 5% spreads for Bush, respectively. However, there is no indication that the polls are trending toward or away from Bush over the week. Thus, all nine can be assumed to be independent samples of a single snapshot in time.
When averaged, one can state with 99.97% confidence that Bush is ahead of Kerry in the national popular vote. I have a hard time envisioning a scenario where Bush wins the popular vote but loses the real vote--that of the Electoral College.
