Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't see any American flags in this photo. They must be using them as floor mats...
HELLLLOOOOO DOLLY!
Those pinkos only went for the free concert. I wouldn't go see springsteen if I got front row tickets for free.
Just goes to show ya - You can lead hippie to a concert, but you can't make 'em vote!
Whoa!
I find this so interesting.
BTW, I used to live in Milwaukee and know WTMJ. If they reported it, it's pretty solid.
On a related note, Orlando Salinas reporting of Fox and the screen says "Celebrities to lead voters to polls".
The dems actually need to resort to this to try and get their apathetic voters to the polls.
Then a Bush voter (Cuban? Had accent) says he has been harrassed.
And the accomodating media has been trilling about it, per the talking points.
They fail to point out the huge Bush crowds that have the star attraction being the candidate himself.
But it doesn't matter. Those huge crowds are showing up for President Bush and they will vote come hell or high water.
One of his pals played at a PPhood benefit. I wrote to express my displeasure, politely, asking them to look into the history of the organization before backing it.
I was told to burn their records. ;)
don't burn them - sell them oon ebay or a used disc store, thereby depriving them of cash from a new CD sale.
hee hee - hubby thinks I should've told them I'll sell them and give the money to a pro-life group. ;)
I'll just keep 'em and enjoy that *i* bought them used - and will never give them a dime in the future. See, I was about to actually buy their new albums when I saw the benefit news, so they lose.
Thank you for the uplifting report!
Well, it's not surprising that they would have a big turn out, college kids love a party. But they don't necessarily do what you tell them to or thank you for throwing the party.
Don't know if this was reported anywhere else in the replys......I heard last night that the number of people in attendance were 20,000.
Would you mind very much if I send that paragraph to Tim Russert who boasted to Katie Couric that Springstein lead a 'sizeable' group to vote. Was this a newsbreak or did the program's host report it? Want to get my facts straight when reporting it, unlike Russert did!
Edwards just finished his little rally in Raliegh. Played at the Dorton Arena on the NC State Fair Grounds, it seats about 4-5000. Not much enthusiasm evident on CSpan.
I like how Bush is able to draw huge crowds without "star" support.
