They were there for "The boss" not Kerry. Hope they all enjoyed the concert and vote Bush.

I trust the local reports, because they actually contacted the city clerks office and got the facts.
Fox is likely judging just by how many people they drew. They obviously didn't account for all the busloads of out of staters, union members, teachers already in madison, and students standign around for something free.
The net result is they thought they could lead throngs of people to vote. They failed.

They contacted the clerk's office to see how things went. The office said there was no need for all the controversy, because fewer people voted absentee the day of the big rally than voted the day before. I wouldn't believe any statement coming out of that corrupt office, especially their numbers . Reporters there after the rally counted 1,300 absentee voters voting after the normal 4:30 PM closing time.

Thanks for taking the time to write this all down for us!

At least the buildup on media may push Republicans to the polls faster. This crowd was probably just there to see the concert. This young demographic just doesn't vote. Kerry wasted the day. Good!

Saw the video on NBC news last night. There was a big crowd there - for "the Boss". Was it 80,000? Don't know but it looked like a bunch.

And they actually saw a reduction in absentee voters from the day before, when nothing was going on. Stoned voters don't usually vote and when they do, they vote LP.

There was a talk show from the area televised on C-SPAN yesterday. Their news segment reported that there were miles of cars & buses backed up with Illinois license plates, bringing in the union folks and others from Illinois to make up the crowd.

I live in Madison. On radio station 'wiba' a reporter on the scene asked police who were present who said the crowd may have been 10,000 at most.
That sounds like a lot less that '80,000' to me.
The MSM is up to its usual lies & deceit!

I heard on the radio that 1300 people filled out ballots after the rally. The day before the rally twice as many people filled out ballots.

The average Dim is like the average Dim politician - once they get the free and easy stuff, they lose interest. Remember how Zell said he was disgusted because Dims were making lots of campaign promises and even starting Bills toget elected; then, once they were back in, they let the Bills die. I find it refreshing to know that their base is just as honorable as they are...

The big controversy was that the Madison city clerk's office was being held open an extra 3 hours, until 8 pm, to allow people who attended the event to vote absentee
thanks for the post.
sounds like a case of fraud to me.
