Desperate Democrat Congressman Dennis Moore Pulls Dirties Trick in the Book
Kobachforcongress.com ^ | Recent | Kobach Campaign

latestNEWS From Kris Kobach For Congress Campaign:

With his campaign on the ropes, Dennis Moore pulled the dirtiest trick in the book. This week, he attempted to smear Kris Kobach's character by trying to connect him to "white supremacists". Dennis Moore sent out a false mailing to tens of thousands of female voters in the Third District. Even though this mailing was technically from the Kansas Democratic Party, make no mistake: Dennis Moore is behind this despicable attempt at character assassination. Last week, Dennis Moore issued two press releases with the exact same content as this mailing. More importantly, Dennis Moore gave $136,500 to the Kansas Democratic Party in order to finance this mailing.

Dennis Moore attacks two sources of Kobach campaign contributions in his smear campaign. The Immigration Reform Coalition and the Gun Owners of America .

The Immigration Reform Coalition is a group that is solely devoted to the enforcement of immigration laws. They have contributed to Kris because of his work in the Justice Department securing our borders. Dennis Moore tries to draw a link to "white supremacists" by using John and Mary Lou Tanton. The Tantons served on the board of the Immigration Reform Coaltion with a dozen other individuals. They also served on the board of the Federation for American Immigration Reform, which received money from the "Pioneer Fund". The Pioneer Fund was started in the 1930's by a textile magnet who held eugenicist views. Therefore, Moore concludes that the money that the Kobach campaign has received is tainted through five steps of separation and 75 years of time.

There are two reasons why this allegation is additionally absurd. First, the Tanton's have also served on the boards of Planned Parenthood and the Sierra Club. Both of these groups have contributed to Moore 's campaign. Planned Parenthood has given him $2000 and the Sierra Club has given him $3000 this cycle. Dennis Moore also received over $5000 from the League of Conservation Voters, another group affiliated with the Tantons. By Dennis Moore's own logic he too is tied to the same "white supremacists" in three ways. Secondly, the Immigration Reform PAC has only given maximum contributions to two candidates this cycle - Kris Kobach and Vernon Robinson, a candidate in North Carolina . Vernon Robinson is an African American. Obviously, the Immigration Reform Coalition doesn't take race into account.

The second source that Dennis Moore tries to smear is the Gun Owners of America. The President of Gun Owners is Larry Pratt. Moore 's incredulous connection works in this way. In 1992, Larry Pratt gave a speech on gun rights at a preparedness expo. A preparedness expo is where a person can purchase bomb shelters or freeze dried food and other survival supplies. Unknown to Larry Pratt there were a few members of the Aryan Nations present at the convention. By Dennis Moore's tortured logic a speaker automatically adopts the views of every member of his audience. That is absurd.

This allegation is even more ridiculous by two further reasons. First, Larry Pratt is married to a Hispanic woman and holds no "white supremacist" views. Secondly, the Gun Owners of America also contributed last cycle to Joe Baca, who has in turn given money to Dennis Moore. Again, by his own logic, Dennis Moore is tied to the same "white supremacists".

Kris Kobach holds no racist or "white supremacist" views. As you can see, this outrageous smear is an attempt by Dennis Moore to change the subject from his extremely liberal voting record. Dennis Moore's smears are hypocritical and deplorable. Obviously, Dennis Moore is worried that voters are learning about his extreme voting record. Dennis Moore is willing to do or say anything to keep his seat in Congress. He is even willing to stoop to these kinds of desperate personal attacks and attempts to smear his opponent through nine degrees of separation. Please pass this message on to your friends and let them know about Dennis Moore's negative campaigning.

Oldest Dem trick in the book alright -
If you believe in regulated immigration - you are racist
If you believe that AA is descriminatory and that it should be based more on economical reasons - you are a racist
If your religious beliefs do not condone homosexuality - you are a right wing religious homophobe
etc.......
In short, if you disagree with us, we will tag you with a nasty name.

For a while I had actually thought about voting for Moore, because of the good stuff he does for his constituents. But, I've decided that all of that is cancelled (and then some) by the votes he casts in Washington. My wife loves Dennis Moore, but I just can't vote for him. Go Kris Kobach!

I can envision a crowd of androgynous protestors, all chanting:

"SEXIST-RACIST-HOMOPHOBE!!!"

"SEXIST-RACIST-HOMOPHOBE!!!"

"SEXIST-RACIST-HOMOPHOBE!!!"

Wish I had a pic...

Good for you. I'm glad to hear it. I think Dennis Moore runs a very dishonest campaign.

Thankfully, Kobach can spell dirtiest correctly, so he has that going for him.

I won't vote for a candidate that has not been accused or sexism, racism, and / or homophobia. If he hasn't irritated the Left enough to get these labels, he ain't worth votin' for.

I hate to admit this, but Dennis Moore is my congressman.

The retiring Karen McCarthy is mine. 5th dist. in Mo. I now have a choice between Cleaver and Jeanne Patterson. Patterson has been running some good ads. Latest one ties Cleaver to corruption at City Hall when he was mayor and his cronies that went to jail.

When he was mayor and was asked about the latest scandal at city hall he never knew anything about it. He'd get this wide eyed innocent look and would "look into it".

Kobach has some pretty good ads too.

Hi barker!!!!

I sure hope Patterson wins. What do you think about her canceling that debate at the last minute? I thought perhaps that was a bad idea, but her ads are really great and she benefits from his poor record. His ad where he makes a great big deal over her "how legislation becomes law" question is lame. She gave a fine answer. I like to see him waste his money like that.

Canceling the debate wasn't a good idea. I just heard it was for personal reasons. Also heard it mentioned on local radio last week that she was only 5 points behind Cleaver and it wasn't supposed to be near this close. Her ads are much better than his.

She was at the Bush rally in Lee's Summit several weeks ago along with Bond and Blunt.

Country singer named Mark Wills was there. President has asked him to several events. When he sang his song "And The Crowd Goes Wild' well, we all did.

Saw the Moore ad. Mentioned to my husband that you couldn't read the names they listed but the highlighted words like racist etc were easy to read. Seemed like they were implying something they couldn't prove. Just another dirty trick.

As part of my total political transformation during the Clinton years, my own rabbi and the Rev. Cleaver helped me along. Rabbi Zedek headed the "Red Flag Commission" that helped cover up and gloss over the graft and corruption in which the good reverend was drownding. I never forgave my clerical leader for such duplicity.

who held eugenicist views

Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood, founded PP for the very specific reason of eugenics. She felt that way too many immigrants, people of color and poor people were multiplying too quickly. She wanted their population controlled. Dennis Moore is permanently melded to the PP cause. I guess this could make him a ~hummmmmmm~ racist? I thought you would agree.

PS: When I point out to Democrats that PP was founded by a eugenicist to control the population of poor immigrant/ people of color, they call me crazy. It's too bad they can't pick up a history book or a biography, as did I. (And I was a rabid Democrat at the time, very young. I thought I was going to find justification for the pro/anti choice argument by reading. Instead, I found clarity.)

Congressional candidates who accept contributions from single interest anti-immigrant groups today are just asking for trouble. They'll spend twice as much trying to defend themselves.

Campaign managers who allow their candidates to accept such contributions without resigning should have a big S tattooed on their foreheads for stupid so that no other candidates will ever hire them.

No thanks. The country's bloody dying and all he brings us is lupins. All we've eaten mate for the last four bleeding weeks is lupin soup, roast lupin, steamed lupin, braised lupin in lupin sauce, lupin in the basket with sauted lupins, lupin meringue pie, lupin sorbet... we sit on lupins, we sleep in lupins, we feed the cat on lupins, we burn lupins, we even wear the bloody things!

We're sick to death with the stench of them. Look. The cat's just choked itself to death on them. I don't care if I never see another lupin till the day I die! Why don't the Democrats go out and steal something useful!

Lupins? It's a Monty Python thing. "Dennis Moore" was also a character in a Monty Python skit. He robbed lupins (yes, the flowers) from the rich to give to the poor until the poor got so sick and tired of lupins. So the poor gave him a list of things to rob (silverware, jewels, food, clothes etc...) and on his next trip the rich were hiding all the lupins and willingly gave up all the valuable items.

In short time, the poor began complaining that the silverware was not going to cut it, they demanded Venetian Silver, nicer clothes etc.... After that he changed ways and started robbing from the poor to give to the rich.

The political commentary was delivered in a line with John Cleese as Dennis Moore, "...blimey, this redistribution of wealth is trickier than I thought."
