Last Thursday, on WAVY-10 11 o'clock news featured an article concerning that "Friends of Robert C. Scott" mailed and delivered mailers and flyers that compared Republican candidate for Virginia 3rd Congressional seat, Winsome Sears, to Hitler. Sears, a black, a female, and a US Marine veteran was featured in the mailer with President Bush and Adolf Hitler. Winsome Sears' opponent, Democrat Robert (Bobby) Scott claimed he did not know of the mailers and his staff said they had contacted the FBI. Winsome Sears is the "dream" trifecta - black, female and a veteran yet she has not received endorsement from NOW, NAACP, the veteran groups supporting Senator Kerry or the local newspaper, Virginian-Pilot.
Don, this is my district. Sears will be getting my vote on Tuesday.
I was at the local Republican meeting last week and they said that Winsome was within 5 points of Scott. I hope she kicks his tail. I'm tired of having effectively no representation in the Congress.
Wow! Why haven't we heard more from the MSM about this woman running for Congress? Oh, that's right, she's a Republican!
