Richard Kerry (John Kerry's father) - Kerry's World: Father Knows Best***..."Americans," he writes, "are inclined to see the world and foreign affairs in black and white." They celebrate their own form of government and denigrate all others, making them guilty of what he calls "ethnocentric accommodation -- everyone ought to be like us." As a result, America has committed the "fatal error" of "propagating democracy" and fallen prey to "the siren's song of promoting human rights," falsely assuming that our values and institutions are a good fit in the Third World. And, just as Americans exaggerate their own goodness, they exaggerate their enemies' badness. The Soviet Union wasn't nearly as imperialistic as American politicians warned, Kerry argues. "Seeing the Soviet Union as the aggressor in every instance, and the U.S. as only reacting defensively, relieves an American observer from the need to see any parallel between our use of military power in distant parts of the world, and the Soviet use of military power outside the Soviet Union," he writes. He further claims that "Third world Marxist movements were autonomous national movements" -- outside Moscow's orbit. The book culminates in a plea for a hardheaded, realist foreign policy that removes any pretense of U.S. moral superiority. ...***

Wow - Kerry has such a look of admiration on his face as he shakes Ortega's hand...

Kerry was encouraging his stand against America.

Just like Ted Kennedy and Christopher Dodd, John Kerry never met a communist he couldn't back.

I think the morality of the time was more conservative than now. Bubba did the same thing and got away with it. Hart did not.

What if Democrats won the Senate?***..... In the midst of the war on terror, Armed Services Committee Chairman John Warner, a former Secretary of the Navy, would be replaced by Carl Levin, who voted in 1991 and 2002 against authorizing the use of force against Saddam Hussein. Over the past 10 years, Mr. Levin has received an average "liberal quotient" score of 94.5 percent from Americans for Democratic Action (ADA), virtually indistinguishable from Ted Kennedy's 95.5 percent over the same period. Mr. Warner's comparable score is 11.5 percent.

Iowa's Tom Harkin — one of the staunchest liberal ideologues in the chamber — would take over the Senate Agriculture Committee. Delaware Democrat Joe Biden, who has a lifetime rating of 14 percent from the American Conservative Union (ACU), would become chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee, replacing Republican Sen. Richard Lugar, whose lifetime ACU rating is 79 percent.

Liberal stalwart Paul Sarbanes of Maryland (1994-2003 average ADA rating: 97.5 percent) would become chairman of the Senate Banking Committee, replacing Sen. Richard Shelby, whose comparable ADA average rating is 8.5 percent. Meanwhile, Mr. Kennedy, with his aforementioned 10-year 95.5 percent ADA score, would become chairman of the Health, Education, Labor & Pensions Committee in place of Republican Sen. Judd Gregg of New Hampshire, whose 10-year ADA rating is 6 percent.

Should Democrats recapture the Senate but fail to win the White House, Republican senators could console themselves with the thought that John Kerry would become chairman of the Senate Small Business & Entrepreneurship Committee, where his potential to do damage would pale by comparison with what he could could have achieved in the Oval Office....***

Sorta like Jesse Jackson counselling the Bent One, and then we find out he had a mistress of his own. I think Gary Hart wants to get in on the gravy. Hart is as kooky as the rest of the creeps in the Democrat party.

***...Hart cautioned that the "War on Terrorism" actually represents the pursuit of Empire and global domination, and is not a viable or sustainable grand strategy.
"Terrorism is a tactic, and you cannot declare war on a tactic," Hart said. According to Hart the threat of terrorism is metastasizing; growing "like a cancer", and is a
symptom of mushrooming anti-American sentiment fueled by our current foreign policy of pre-emptive wars and "going it alone." ...***

Well, with immorality running rampant on the MSM primetime schedule, it's no wonder they gave Clinton a pass by saying "hey, everyone does it!"

We must earn our rights by performance of our duties.'"

A John Kerry guy is perfect for this type of government...all you have to do to succeed is be the state bureaucrat that writes up the 'performance of our duties' after action reports...

And then 'who' decides which rights we will be allowed and who decides under what conditions our rights will be granted...all left up to the vicissitudes of the state...and state security blah blah blah..

The State as daddy The State as mommy The State as Educator

The State as God...All Hail THE STATE

However a Republican form of government such as ours is really only fit for a people that have the law written in their hearts...an internal policeman that regulates action and interactions...

The further Americans stray from this the more America breaks down..and the more need for external regulators and the result will be increasingly less freedom until the necessity of order supersedes personal freedom

The lawless man and the dictator are best friends

imo
