There was something weird about the TV soundbite as camoKerry
and his hunting party were walking past the assembled media
types. Kerry shouted "We each got one" (or something to
that effect). It sounded to me like someone who was trying
to get his self-serving version of a story out before ano-
ther in the group could tell the real story.
And the sad thing is that the Second Amendment is not about hunting. Yes, one of its effects is to protect hunting rights, but its much bigger than that.
Its value in protecting the right of one to own, for example, a handgun for self-defense is much more important, and that is something you never hear the national Dems speak of.
