Turbulence. Why people don't fasten their seat belts is beyond me. I saw a father tossing a baby up in the hair right during a turbulence warning! The baby's head was just short of the overhead panels -- and that was WITHOUT turbulence! Some people are beyond stupid.

Don't worry, John Kerry has already put in Purple Heart nominations for the plane. He'd given them Medals of Honor, but there weren't any Al-Queda on board.

Definition of a good airplane landing:
Passengers can walk off the plane.

The plane can be used again!

I flew into Oakland from Denver some months ago and learned a good lesson about keeping my seat belt buckled. A woman in front of me and several others bounced out of their seats and hit the ceiling from unexpected turbulence.

That sucks. I've been on few flights that scared the hell out of me but never that bad that anyone got bounced.I was on a plane (Korean Airlines) from Seoul to LA that fell a mile. Many injuries and three ambulances to treat the passengers after we landed (and waited over an hour for a gate).
It's the reason I fly with the seat belt securely fasten at all times.
