Mark McClain, who leads the Northwest Airlines pilot group at the Air Line Pilots Association,..

One would think that the pilots would have more sense. Kerry will just disarm them again and expect them to put up with the nuisance of terrorists. If they keep this up, the only airline in the US will be Air India. They will all be "outsourced".

Maybe one of our N.C. hog farmers can make a Kerry pattern in one of their lagoons...

"I don't think this is the best time for Northwest pilots to go around endorsing people".

As I remember, Lil' Tommy Daschle's wife is a lobbyist for Northwest Airlines. If so, then their union support is a given. I agree with you, they should not be drawing attention to themselves when government airline subsidies are being sought.

I don't think this is the best time for Northwest pilots to go around endorsing people. Just an observation.

One step closer to abandoning WorldPerks Elite for OnePass Elite. I fly more often on Continental than NWA these days anyway...

It's a bit of a stretch, but how about 'kerry is a foreignicator'.

Most do. Pilots in general are fairly heavily Republican, but ALPA is part of the AFL-CIO, and having a Republican union head just wouldn't do.

I work for Mesaba, NWA's regional affiliate. Most of the company is known as "a bunch of Republican union members", something of a contradiction. As for me, I'm part of the one Mesaba employee group that's non-union; we voted down another union vote a few months ago.

LOL to your comments. But this guy wasted how much in his crops, who knows how much gas, and a whole heck of a lot of time to put that in his field when the only people that will see it are a couple hundred if that much a day. Figure also that maybe a third of those days will be cloudy (I don't know for sure), when no one can see it. Then figure that 90-95% of people already have their minds made up. Finally, figure the amount of people (0) who have ever been convinced to vote for a candidate because a plant told them to do so. Ain't this guy a genius?

there's some truth to my jest. FDR invented the stupid idea
of subsidies to NOT grow crops. To this day we have idiotic
things remaining from that era in AG/dairy subsidies.
Maybe he's getting paid to not grow crops.

Someone plowed "Bush" in their field? Is that the punchline to a farmer's daughter joke?
