The revised citations created and noted a "superior force" by omitting reference to the number of South Vietnamese troops aboard and adding a reference to 20 enemy against the 18 PCF crew in the first engagement. (The revised citations drop any reference to Kerry's mano-a-mano, the third and fourth engagements, and any enemy actually killed in the whole operation.)

The "numerically superior" enemy cannot be from the second action as the lone VC in the original citation is the only enemy mentioned. The request by Army advisors and the 800 yard distance are not mentioned in the original citation, further indicating independent sources for the revisions.	Patrol Craft Fast 23 and 94 moved upstream to investigate an area from which gunshots were coming. Arriving at the area, Lieutenant (junior grade) KERRY's craft received a B-40 rocket close aboard. Once again Lieutenant (junior grade) KERRY ordered his units to charge the enemy positions and summoned Patrol Craft Fast 43 to the area to provide additional firepower. Patrol Craft Fast 94 then beached in the center of the enemy positions and an enemy soldier sprang up from his position not ten feet from Patrol Craft Fast 94 and fled. I hope if we win we will get a majority on the FCC commission and end the agreements that bind each affiliate to a network to get their programing. I think any independent station should be able to go to any Hollywood producer and get an agreement to carry any program. This would bypass the networks and render them obsolete.

The FCC should also charter several hundred new TV stations. According to there charter each station will be locally owned and cannot be sold to any owner who is not local.
If Bush does not win, then we should take action in those states that have initiative and referendum to put taxes on networks for each station they own in the state in question. Also e nee to put pressure on our legislators so that if the Dems's force taxes they will have to accept taxes on TV networks.
The networks and all of their affiliated studios and such should be considered extremely vulnerable. They do not live in the state and make a heck of a lot of money from it. They should be easy targets for tax increases.

I saw Douglas Brinkley, the author of Kerry's Vietnam book (Tour of Duty), on FOX & Friends this morning. My impression is that this guy is being forced to choose between his reputation as a 'serious' historian, and admitting that Kerry took him for a ride with his stories.

Brinkley's logic was strained to say the least when he tried to balance Kerry's accounts with those of the SwiftVets. He seemed to lay the whole thing at the feet of Adm. Hoffman of the SwiftVets.

I suggest that a "Hall of Traitors" be started and I nominate CBS, ABC, NBC, MSNBC, CNN, National Peoples Radio, Dan Blather, Ted Koppel, Tom Brokow, Michael Moore, Bruce Springstein, The Dixie Chicks, Jane Fonda, Senator Murray as the initial inductees.

Marlon and veterans on Free Republic: (could someone ping veterans and military families) The tactics of ABC are over the top this election year. It's not the first time ABC's Nightline has pulled this stuff only it just keeps getting worse. Seems to me we shouldn't have to put up with it even beyond changing the dial. I get angry just knowing other people are listening.

I'm volunteering my time to spread the news about an effort to convince Clear Channel Communication to take action against ABC like Sinclair Broadcasting did with Koppel. I think the only way to hurt these people is reducing the market share. Two groups I belong to are doing a couple things.

1. Suggesting Clear Channel dump ABC news feeds in favor of Fax News.

One obvious point is ABC contacted NVN officials weeks in advance who, in turn, probably contacted the villagers and gave them their stories to parrot. sKerry himself said ONE (1) as in "less than 2". So why would the villagers remember the millions of fighters attacking poor ol' sKerry? (so I exaggerate a little).
