Nah, they were using PetroCanada but the Union won't deliver after 8:30 PM Newfoundland Time on a weekday.

I agree with much of what you say. The problem with Quebec is that they have so many seats in parliament and they vote liberal to a great extent. The liberals retain power by bribing Atlantic Canada, harvesting the fruits of their graft in Quebec, and shaming Ontario into voting for them.
Unfortunately the same think is happening in the US. New York, California, and Illinois are lost to Bush. Michigan and Pennsylvania probably are too. People in those states are incapable of independent, rational thought, like many Canadians.

Will the US be held to the same standard should Kerry get in? We can only hope not to find out; but, if Kerry should get elected, the answer would be yes. American forces should be held accountable to the highest possible standards. As does Canada, we owe our servicemen no less.

"Can F-18s refuel from KC-135 booms?"
Only if they speak french.

the whole Air Force - 5 Jets??? Wow!!! That's bigger than the Irish Army Air Corps - I wouldn't want Ireland to declare war on Canada (imagine having to invade Quebec).

Well, you can, and should, still be proud. I've visited the D-day battlefield twice...the Canadian memorial is inspiring...FWIW, my take on why Canada has strayed further and further from the "Anglosphere" over time...is the curse/disease of multiculturalism, specifically Quebec. It's a cancer, and it has to be cut out. They want to go, why they hell do you want to keep them?.. Canada is the unsung hero of WWII - it's contribution was just as great as America.
I wish Ireland would realize that it is more Anglosphere than Eurosphere.
The problem I have with Quebec independence is, even if it doesn't officially become an overseas department of France, it will be satellite of France, and later, the EU - on North American territory - bordering the US - that couldn't be good!!

Actually the Marine KC-130's have one high speed drogue for fighters and one low speed drogue for helos. They can put two high speeds on or two low speeds, but one of each is the normal set up.

Can F-18s refuel from KC-135 booms?Only if the boom is modified with a drogue.
