I noticed that too .. He thinks ... nothing is to low for Edwards

Also .. Edwards got into a lot of trouble with the gays back during the Dem Primaries over the gay marriage question and I'll bet they just as upset on how Edwards responded tonight over it

I can't believe Lieberman is on CNN saying Edwards benefited from the exposure. LOL

His exposure tonight will have the same effects as gamma radiation.

He's dead before 2008.

I did not have my 'mind made up' before the debates...unless you mean that I had my mind made up that I wanted Cheney to slaughter Edwards. You brought up Kerry's gaffes...if you go look, I called that a win for the President. I thought Kerry won on style but made numerous gaffes that would come back to seriously hurt him far more than looking smooth would help. I think this one is a draw.

Edwards stuck to his talking points and drove them home as often and as hard as he could. He didn't make any big policy gaffes. I think Cheney offered a valid defense, but did not drive home his campaigns' themes. The post you responded to highlighted several that should have been hit harder.

The global test gaffe is a prime example. You and I know what it means. But to most 'undecideds' I think Edwards successfully clouded the issue and blew smoke. And Cheney didn't drive it home. He didn't talk about it being a french veto. When edwards talked about Kerry saying no foreign veto...Cheney didn't stick him with the flip flopping inside the same sentence.

In both debates I think the administration had the chance to land multiple knockout blows...and they didn't.

When Edwards was closing and said "Can you ever remember a time when this country was so divided?", I was SCREAMING at the TV, "YES!!! And it was John Kerry then, too!!!!" This is EXACTLY like it was in 1971!!!!

BINGO!!!

You Bullseyed it (again).

I saw that too. I now believe we have a news division in need of a brain transplant. I know they're liberal, but at least Chris Matthews admitted Chenney whooped him.

I was hoping someone would say the liberals won't cooperate. I hope Bush gets some cahunas by Friday.

Except for gays, lesbians, and black women with aids, Gwen Ifill did a pretty good job of asking tough, important questions of both men, questions of import to the entire country, not just special social interest qroups.

Susan Estrich is drunk.

Suggestion for a fun debate - Kerry vs Miller

Yes, that would be fun. Suggestion for a blowout: Kerry vs. Limbaugh!

I too was pleasently suprised and impressed by the fairness and compentence of the lady. Doubly so since she works for NPR.

Kudos to Gwen Ifill for a job well done.

Bears repeating, she did do a very good job.

You are correct, as of 12:23 pm EDT, Fox shows Edwards 53%, Cheney 46%. Unbelievable! The DU's are out per McAwful's e-mail. Means nothing.

On CNN they're dissecting the "facts". Taking issue with Cheney's adding Iraqi losses into the equation on Iraq.

So, let's look at it this way. Say, 6 months from now, Iraqi forces are trained and doing most of the fighting. Let's say 20 Iraqis killed in one month. Coalition forces lose 3 soldiers in the same month, 2 Americans and 1 Brit. According to Edwards' formula, we would still have to say Americans made up 70% of "coalition casualties".

Their formula leaves no room for lessening the burden as Iraqi forces take over.

One more thing and trying to recall this without a transcript but when they were talking about sanctions did Edwards misspeak not once but twice and say they would sanction Iraq instead of Iran?
