...No one else was in a position to perform the contract in the time required....

Billy Boy Clinton gave Haliburton a no-bid contract after the Yugoslavia war/battle/thing.

The Dems don't mention that do they?

You know something,

I reread that and I think I get it. I'm glad the hardware and your programming skills provide this versatility.

If Edwards picked up that stupid mug of water one more time I was going scream. At one point I thought he was going to make love to it

Well, maybe, we know he's not doing his wife.

There were several times I was SCREAMING at the TV......when Edwards was saying that about no state having to recognize gay marriages from other states -- well, if Edwards had BEEN here, he'd know that the kooks over in Chapel Hill are trying to get that knocked down!

Andrew Sullivan on CSPAN 2 says he watched with other "Republicans" and they were all dismayed.

Sullivan claims to not have heard any spin but his take is Bush and Cheney both came off as tired and have no solutions and his own "sense" is the call for fresh change is going to win.

He concedes he may turn out to be wrong and the American people will think Cheney won.

You're wrong Andrew. Sheesh, he's a disappointment.

She was a lot more fair than Lehrer

Actually I think she was almost as bad. Just adds spice to the bitch slapping Cheney gave Edwards. Two in a row the Lunitic Left tried to rig, two in a row they got slapped.

That was unconsionable. Cheney hit a home run with his response though: " I thank Senator Edwards for saying those nice things about my family and my daughter."

Cheney was everything I expected and more. God bless him!

The only company that could do the job like Halliburton in Iraq would be a FRENCH company named Schlumberger. Why the *ell would we allow them to get the job when they wouldn't even support the United States in a time of war while they were profiting through a criminal conspiracy in the "Oil for Food" SCANDAL?! PUKE!

Yeah, like Kerry voted for tax cuts 600 times. Oh man, we're cooked. These guys are tax cutting fools. They've stolen the main Republican issue right out from under us. What are we going to do? :^)

All over America Democrats are throwing their unwanted spouse's things out in the street after learning from Edwards that states don't recognize other states marriages.

Worth repeating!!! ROFL!!!

Martin Luther King's birthday.

It was hilarious when Edwards threw that out there.

Cheney is Cheney and Dubya is Dubya. Each man has his own strengths and weaknesses. They complement each other well.

I don't care which one of them is in charge. They make a helluva team.

It seemed to me she was giving Edwards extra rebuttal too. I think that is why she got confused at the end of the debate about who was suppose to get to respond first to the last question.

Debate was great IMO, although I already see the dims with their talking points...

The Dims are already inserting their one big talking point: consistent. Just listen to the pundits and analysts say it again and again. It must've really hurt F'n to be called a flip-flopper and hear so many people start chanting. (Awwww. ) He probably demanded the twisted consistency idea become a talking point.

Most are saying that Edwards won the second half of the debate. I disagree. He just came up with a different version of his "Two Americas" boolsheet. I could almost hear an audible gasp from viewers when mention was made of him being a heartbeat away from the presidency. He doesn't exactly exude "safety from terrorism" in his girly presence.

According to the GAO, the REASON Halliburton got the contract was that it was the ONLY company with the ability and resources to fulfill the contract, which was vital to the war effort. . and this was from independent accounting.

Already heard it spun that way

It was the predictable spin for when Cheney slapped the snot out of Edwards. I'm listening to a radio newsfeed that had various pundits commenting afterwards. A guy from the Wall Street Journal, whose name escapes me, said: "The big loser tonight was President Bush. Cheney had an authority and command of facts that really outshone the President. It gave credence to that old joke that Bush is just a heartbeat away from the Presidency." AAACCKK-ptooie!

Thanks.

A quick note to Mr Cheney:

"Thank you Mr Cheney for your work during the recent debate.

Thank you for your steadfastness."
