One thing Bush/Cheney sould say when they fool dims mention that Iraq did not attack us.

"YET", the war on terror is not a law enforcement action for 911, it is to kill all terrorist before they hit us and to remove their infrastructure, either states that sponsor, provide safe haven, and to replace the hatred with hope by fighting for people's freedom in these countries.

It was so bad for the Democrats tonight that Lockhart looked like he just awoke from a nap on a park bench, sweaty and disoriented.
And his eyes were not bugging out, but, in an angry squint.
Chris Matthews said that Cheney was obviously prepared," he came loaded for bear-or should I say squirrel."

I loved when Cheney said that Edwards missed 33 out of 37 committee meetings and despite being in the Senate, tonight was the first time Cheney had met him!!!

I liked that too.

Overall an outstanding performance by the VP -- composed, statesmanlike, and at times devastating. One of PBS' historians, David Beschloss, compared Cheney to a battle ship. I totally agree. He made Edwards look like a skiff.

And how can anyone say Cheney comes across as unlikeable? He reminds me of a super cool great uncle or something. I really liked the way he addressed Gwen Eifel before his comments "Well, Gwen...". Just very personable and respectful.

Overall, I'm jazzed. A thoroughly enjoyable debate to watch and it ought to be a boost for guys.

Great job, Mr. Cheney!

Cheney did great. One thing I wish he would have done was debunk the urban legend that Bush "let" bin Landen go at Tora Bora and that we "outsourced" the job.

What are those 20,000 US troops doing there?

Amen. I have had sons in that area for a year now. Does he realize how insulting he is to our troops in that region. Our troops have busted and killed a ton of Taliban this past year. The dems keep repeating that they are doing nothing!

"Who is going to hunt down the terrorists and kick their A?"

My husband who is not into all this like I am and is way more objective said that he wouldn't feel safe with this guy.

Yeah, like Kerry voted for tax cuts 600 times. Oh man, we're cooked. These guys are tax cutting fools. They've stolen the main Republican issue right out from under us. What are we going to do? :^)

All over America Democrats are throwing their unwanted spouse's things out in the street after learning from Edwards that states don't recognize other states marriages.

ROTFLMAO....SWL=screaming with laughter...This is so funny I hope others read it. ;o)

Mary Matalin's new look is Halloweenish. She looks better as a semi blonde. That said, she's wonderful and is clearly so proud of how Cheney did. Well, she worked in his office and has a long bond with him.

Jack Kemp on Hannity & Colmes just compared Edwards being glib like Clinton.

Gwen Ifill was great. She caught Edwards off guard by grilling him on the International Test issue. At another point the asked him whether he was naive.

I would be happy with a Dick Cheney presidency. I've never seem him speak so well.

Just had to goto DU to see whats up. A few trying to be brave and call it a draw or something to that effect. However, several are now starting to admit Edwards blew it. So that means it must be really bad for Kerry/Edwards. I remember DU bragging for weeks how Edwards would mop the floor with Cheney. Didn't happen. Also, I think you will see a totally different Bush on Friday. Just let Bush be himself, and he will win big time.

More on my research on the math on TV point: Petrea was not only interested in college teaching but in the teaching of high school mathematics. Together with Arnold Nolstad he developed a television course on high school algebra and trigonometry which was broadcast on the University of North Carolina public television station, WUNC, for five years in the early 1960's. This was the first open circuit broadcast of high school mathematics in North Carolina. It was also carried in Virginia and South Carolina. (emphasis mine)

So it IS possible...

Infrared address????

I think it was a load problem - allowing 250 posts per page was way too many. And when people weren't getting anything, they kept refreshing which just made things worse.

...I expected arrogance from him...

You expected that because that's what the MSM and the Dems have tried to lead us to believe.

That's fine by me. All a poll favorable to Edwards shows to the 50+ million Americans who watched this debate is that the mainstream media really is biased. Vice President Cheney ripped Edwards a new asshole tonight and it was obvious.
