DU had the MSNBC poll up to 78% Edwards win before the debate was over. LOL

That was Mort Kondrake being his occasional dumbass self. Cheney did NOT look old. He looked like a learned professor chastising an uppity yuppie student.

"Best line of the night was Cheney saying that though he is president of the Senate, he never met Edwards until he walked out on the stage"..... Actually, I thought the best line was "if Kerry can't handle John Dean, how can he handle the terrorists", or words to that effect. Cheney hit a three-run homer in my baseball analogy opinion. This puts me in a great mood, now I'll switch to Fox and watch baseball.

Does anyone know where I can find a transcript or when they'll be available? Thanks in advance!

Edwards & Kerry had their clocks cleaned by the Vice President.

It wasn't even close, I was literally rolling after Edwards & kerry were challenged on so many things...

"you weren't even there to vote"
"This is the first time I've met you"

Too many quotes to list, but I'm sure someone will tallly them all for us.

Best one is the one in my tag line, when Cheney compared I'm an Internationalist and the invoking of UN permission to use troops that kerry whined about in 1970 to the Global Test Remark last Thursday.

game....set....match....

I can't wait until Friday.

Great job Mr. Vice President.

Regards,
Joe

Cheney put Kerry's record on national defense on the table. It may be that the President is going to hit on it again in his speech tomorrow.

Pig eyed Breckboy got his ass handed to him on a silver plater courtesy of VP Cheney.

Just like Skerry he broke the rules of the debate. Typical Demonrat behavior, rules and laws are for everyone else not us.

Cheney and Edwards are in my opinion evenly matched, but the Vice President easily won. He won this because the administration has the record. All he had to do was lay it out in a competent manner, which he did.

As somebody who had to read idiotic comments that questioned (how dare ye!) my conservatism when I pointed out immediately after the first debate that Kerry clearly beat Bush (I am not a victim, I was not wounded by their bitching), I feel the need to state:

In every way, Cheney clearly kicked the living shit out of Edwards. He bitch slapped him. He treated him like a dog.

He outplayed him in every way.

For example, I thought Cheney was going to furiously upbraid Edwards for bringing his lesbian daughter into the debate (I would have been a sucker. I would have blasted him). But Cheney beautifully disarmed him by merely thanking him for his complimentary comments.

That’s just one example. Cheney, in every way, controlled the tone and the direction. Edwards looked like a really smart, conniving, but guilty kid in the principal’s office.

Cheney missed many opportunities to respond to the primary charges the Kerry/ Edwards campaign is leveling againsgt the Administration- esp. the "no plan to win the peace" charge.

And Edwards clearly outlined the Kerry/Edwards plan for Iraq?

I heard Edwards talk about several plans that he and Kerry have but I heard no clear definitions of those plans. Are they still 'secret' plans????

When Edwards brought up Halliburton for the third time, I fully expected Cheney to say, "Isn't that rhyme getting a little bit old?" or "STFU"...............

I was thinking the same thing. Not sure why they are talking up John "lizard tongue" Edwards... maybe they think he needs some sympathy push.

Did anyone else notice this? I noticed how Edwards said "John Kerry says that we need to keep nuclear weapons out of terrorist hands."

Correct me if Im wrong but didnt Bush say that in the debate with Kerry. Bush said " We need to keep Nuclear weapons out of terrorist hands." And Kerry said "WE need to get rid of our nuclear weapons and lead by example."

So lets see Mr Edwards you were agree with Bush but saying Kerry said it. Kerry thinks we should give up nukes Bush doesnt. Edwards should have actually said toinght "Kerry thinks no one in the world should have nuclear weapons." Instead of just saying "terrorist". Also the whole plan Edwards layed out was exactly what bush is doing in Iraq!

Yeah,... technically, without all the lies,....yeah he slapped him around. I'm amazed they can twist and absolutely "LIE" so well. It disturbs me. I don't think this country needs a creative LIAR for President!!!!
