I want to talk to you about AIDS, and not about AIDS in China or Africa, but AIDS right here in this country, where black women between the ages of 25 and 44 are 13 times more likely to die of the disease than their counterparts.

What should the government's role be in helping to end the growth of this epidemic?

What does she mean by "counterparts?" Black men?

If so its a sad fact that black men in those ages are more likely to die early and violent which might throw the stats a bit.

They will die with that decision before their time. MSNBC poll is polluted by DU cretins. Pay it no heed.

I think Susan is losing her mind, and she does seem to be very agitated lately. She never smiles anymore, just screams out rat talking points and bitches about everything. I don't know if she drinks, but she has that smoker/drinker voice. She probably should be on meds.

I was talking to my father at work today (family business...he refuses to retire), and I was telling him about Brokaw and Jennings defending Rather and blaming the bloggers....and he said that the MSM is worse than Goebbels, because at least Germany knew they were only getting one view of the news. America thinks it is getting an unbiased opinion!

Beats me, I wasn't paying much attention to the gist of the whole argument until Kristol lashed out on national TV, and for the remainder of the segment, he had a visibly agitated look on his face.

I trust Bush's instincts as a politician. I trust them more as a leader. And I trust his judgement

Freepers are lousy judges of larger picture issues. ON ANYTHING. We're too emotionally involved.

This forum is like newly licensed daytraders, back in the heyday of 1997, who are playing with scared money. The stock is up 1/8 "THANK GOD I CAN FEED MY FAMILY!" Twenty seconds the Stock is down an 1/4 "OH NO, I'M RUINED!" That's a 30 second emotional seing. That goes on all day. People go nuts first week and lose a bundle because they panic.

We need to be like Gomez Addams at the stock ticker: "Cara Mia. We're Rich! We're Poor! We're Rich Again! Thank God we ran out of tape! Let's dance!'

The polls that said Bush "lost the debate" were skewed ridiculously toward Democrats. Look at the internals of Gallup and CBS to see that.

Bush is a leader. Part of leading is being Presidential. The vote November 2 is a visceral one for most people, and it's not pollable. People lie to pollsters.

The stuff about Freepers being "overconfident" and the polls showing a Bush cakewalk in 2000 is an urban legend. I remember everyone of substance knowing it was a knucklebiter for the entire month of October. The DUI "surprise" was no surprise to folks like Hugh Askson and others who informed us up til then how tight it was.

This one isn't going to be as tight. Our electoral positioning is exponentially more advantageous today.

if the democrats ever did sincerely want to end their divisiveness in the Senate,

This country is badly divided. At no point in our history have there ever been so many gullible, confused, F'd-up on MTV, hats on backwards, proud 50%ers who can't graduate from High School, stupid, hate-America-firsters, Fed nipple suckling, constitutionally illiterate losers as we witness today. IOW, Kerry has a chance.

Europeans, meanwhile, are continuing to follow the American election very closely, apparently sensing that it may have a direct effect on their lives.

Underscoring that sense, the full transcript of the first Kerry-Bush debate was published over four pages in Le Monde, France's most important daily newspaper. "This is viewed now as an election for the world," Moisi said. "I'm really struck by this."

Chris Wallace is an idiot.

No, Matthew Dowd was acting like an idiot. That question from Wallace was a big ol' slow pitch. Let me show you how I would have answered it:

Chris, I just have to ask, is that all they've got? The American people know Dick Cheney isn't a bigot or cold-hearted or a corporate robber baron, that's why they voted for him and President Bush in 2000 when these charges were first debunked. Intelligence failures got 3,000 Americans killed on 9/11, Senators Kerry and Edwards have both missed a ton of intel committee meetings, and their excuse is some 20 year old Dick Cheney vote. It's just plain silly.

Easy hit.

It was also pretty fun to watch cahill talk about how the $87 Billion vote was an example of the Bush campaign "focusing on the past." Dang, there are troops still in Iraq right now who were there when the buttheads cast the vote, it's not like it's ancient history!

Wouldn't hurt my feelings a bit if someone at GLAAD decided to get all insulted by it...

Actually I don't think they are insulted by it, matter of fact I think they're in full support of the Kerry campaign no matter what side of the gay/straight debate Kerry/Edwards are on. It reminds me of the feminazis coming out in defense of Bill Clinton after all the long string of rape charges kept piling up.

" CBS News interviewed a nationally representative sample of 178"

Nationally representative? Uh huh, yes I trust three people from my state brought together by CBS to speak for me? Uncommitted? Uh no...if they thought that Edwards won when even the pundits are admitting he got slapped well I'm guessing they're already hardcore Dem's..

I think Bush will win by close to 100 electoral votes.

Just because you could have answered it better doesn't mean it wasn't a stupid question.

I thought she meant white women at first.

Funny, the black men are the ones playing switch hitter in the first place.

I found that defense personally insulting. When NOW came out against the women accusing Clinton of rape to me they destroyed what little credability they had...it was one of the most disgusting things I've ever seen. This group was supposed to shield and protect women and they destroyed one for a political agenda..

Does this mean we should now start calling Edwards Ensign Pulver?

Sure, but if he thinks he's going to get away with throwing Cheney's tree overboard, he's got another think coming!

Sex appeal really has nothing to do with looks. It all about confidence in what you believe and speaking the truth without fear

Thanks, I've never figuered out why my wife can't keep her hands off me.
