Thankfully, I don't remember because I don't have a t.v. Yet another reason not to. ;)

John Ziegler on KFI is on right now debating which of the two men is actually hot.

I laughed and laughed when Cahill said that Cheney looked grumpy and mean! What a hoot, Mary!

Boy, they are really grasping over there:

Cheney Met Edwards In and Out of the Senate

During The Vice Presidential Debate, Cheney Said The First Time He Met Edwards Was At The Debate That Night. During the first vice presidential debate, Vice President Cheney said: “In my capacity as vice president, I am the president of the senate, the presiding officer, I'm in the senate most tuesdays in session. The first time I met you was when you walked on the stage tonight.”

HOWEVER

Cheney Thanked Edwards At the National Prayer Breakfast. Addressing the National Prayer Breakast, Cheney said: “Thank you. Thank you very much. Congressman Watts, Senator Edwards, friends from across America and distinguished visitors to our country from all over the world, Lynne and I honored to be with you all this morning.” [FDCH Political Transcripts, Cheney Remarks at the National Prayer Breakfast, 2/1/01]

Senator Edwards Escorted Elizabeth Dole When She Was Sworn In As North Carolina’s Other Senator. Elizabeth Dole was sworn in as North Carolina’s other senator on January 8, 2003. Gannet News Service wrote: “As per Senate tradition, Sen. John Edwards, D-N.C., escorted her.” [Gannet News Service, 1/8/03]

• Dole Took The Senate Oath Administered By Vice President Dick Cheney. According to Gannet News Service: “[Dole] raised her right hand and took the oath administered by Vice President Dick Cheney, the Senate president.” [Gannet News Service, 1/8/03]

• Dole Was Also Escorted By Her Husband, Bob Dole. Gannet News Service wrote: “Her husband, former Senate majority leader and GOP presidential candidate Bob Dole, also was by her side.” [Gannet News Service, 1/8/03]

“[Elizabeth Dole] carried her grandmother's Bible and was escorted by her husband and Edwards as Vice President Dick Cheney administered the oath.” [Charlotte Observer, 1/8/03]

No pictures; no proof.

I'm with you. Edwards is way to prissy to be attractive in any way.

How could he have?

Unless edwards went to work for haliburton in 1998, cheney wouldn't have sworn him in. Edwards is a one term senator whose career started in 1998 with his senate race and ended in 2004.

Cheney wasn't VP until 2001.

You see, Edwards staff is so young (they have to be younger than him maturity wise) they don't know that a Senator serves 6 years, not 4 (like a President)..... :)

It was Greta's online poll that was "DUmmied Up" to reflect that Edwards had won the debate. Don't take stock in online polls, especially ones where one can vote multiple times.

What I like to say when I admire an actor is "I could watch him read the phone book," but when I was about to reply to you and say that line about the Veep, I pictured Cheney picking up the phone book, leafing through, maybe reading a name or two, then throwing the book on the floor and saying "I'm not going to waste my time with this silly exercise!" Course, I'd even love to watch him do that! LOL!

Well I hope you stuck around long enough to hear Bill Kristol give drunk Susan Estrich her well deserved bitch slap! And I bet she doesn't call Bill Kristol a liar ever again!

Susan was obviously out of sorts by the poor performance grades Edwards was getting from all the talking heads.

Thank you Mr. Kristol!! Finally someone screams out loud when spin turns into personal attack on someone's credibility. "I didnt' come here tonight to be called a liar by Susan Estrich", Bill Kristol said, and she can wave that transcript around all she likes!!!

I don't know does the Senate get sworn into session en masse with each new Congress or is it just the rookies?

Whoever wins an election the prior Nov are sworn into office .. not that WHOLE senate at once

After Cheney's comment about not meeting Edwards until tonight, the dump posted this picture... Can anyone find a date on this??

Ow! Before tonight that's for sure. Camp Cheney is going to need to show who was in attendence in the Senate on Tuesdays since 2001. I thought Cheney smoked Johhny tonight but I don't want to get into the definition of "met" for the next four weeks.

It was a classic TV moment that I wish I had loaded the videotape to record.

Also the inappropriate behavior of their partners. A good portion of their STD problems are caused by their partners picking it up in prison and passing it on to their women.

[Edwards] just said on TV in front of millions that the ticket doesn't support gay marriage.

It would be hilarious if the gay vote went to the Bush/Cheney, since Cheney obviosly has more of a grasp on their struggles.
