Ok, I give up. I'm not going to ABC, so what's the beef about Leahy?

Well, if the Bush/Cheney folks don't want Leahy there, I am sure Cheney is capable of letting him know.

other than leahy being a party hack? well, he started a some sort of anticheney/haliburton conspiracy theory week in the senate.

cheney told him to **** him and the horse he came in on during a senate group picture session.

Yeah, but Cheney kind of won that one, I thought. As he will any confrontations at tonight's event. Leahy is such a pipsqueak!

one would think dems could have a little shame and good sense once in awhile though - -what was I saying this is leaky leahy

The bigger topic will probably be what Bremer and Rum said recently - both have made statements that go against what they each had said before - makes no sense to me why these guys are mucking things up right at debate time -

Cheney had better have "his" story straight on these guys - what a mess. Is it something in the water in that area - ?

just wondering -

Look what else was in that link:

Bremmer said on ABC some time ago that he NEVER REQUESTED ADDITIONAL TROOPS!

AMBASSADOR L. PAUL BREMER: No, I've never made a request for more troops that's been agreed to. I never made a request for more troops. I agree with the CENTCOM Commander John Abizaid, who said earlier this week in a press conference that he believes we have enough troops here. I think that's right. It's not a question of more troops, it's a question of being effective with our intelligence, getting more Iraqis to help us. There are more than 50,000 Iraqis now working with us on security matters in the police and the border guards and the civil defense corps, and in the new Iraqi army. So Iraqis are more and more assuming responsibility for their security here.

I think Vice President Cheney is probably one of the best ever. Does anyone think he may have made a "command decision" on 9-11 when he gave the shootdown order? Totally irrelevant question, but I know there are many who have researched the question better than I.

I'm sure the Dem's greatest hope is that Edward's can goad Cheney into losing his temper as he did with Leahy. Cheney has to know that. I'm also pretty sure that America wouldn't mind a pissed off Veep who wants to take out terrorists as opposed to a piss-ant trial lawyer who'd be happy to sue for emotional distress on their behalf.

If the dems are really doing what Cavuto said (putting Leahy right in front of Cheney), I think this will serve Cheney well. Having to look at Leahy's face I imagine would stoke anyone's fire in the belly.

The Dems are awfully petty and childish if they think this is going to affect VP Cheney one bit.

And if Edwards intends to ask for an apology for Leahy, Cheney need only demand first an apology and retraction for calling the President a liar.

And some ABC headline notwithstanding, I don't believe for a minute that BC04/RNC types are 'angered' by this at all.
