Old Crimson Interview Reveals A More Radical John Kerry
The Crimson Tide - Harvard ^ | Wednesday, February 11, 2004 | By ZACHARY M. SEWARD

Ten months after returning home from Vietnam, a young John Kerry strolled into the offices of The Harvard Crimson on Feb. 13, 1970 as an obscure underdog in the Democratic Congressional primary. The decorated veteran, honorably discharged after a tour of duty in the Mekong Delta, spoke in fierce terms during his daylong interview with The Crimson’s Samuel Z. Goldhaber ’72.

But almost 34 years later, Kerry’s remarks on American military and intelligence operations vastly diverge from opinions expressed by the present-day Sen. John F. Kerry, D.-Mass., the leading candidate in the Democratic primary for president.

“I’m an internationalist,” Kerry told The Crimson in 1970. “I’d like to see our troops dispersed through the world only at the directive of the United Nations.”

Kerry said he wanted “to almost eliminate CIA activity

THIS is what Kerry means by "Global Test" - relinquishing U. S. sovereignty to the U.N. We would never again be able to go to war to defend ourselves without the permission of the UN! We would be governed by the UN. - and the UN has previously stated that it wants to impose gun control globably - AND the UN wants to impose an international tax. WE would have NO SAY in any of this. We would no longer be a sovereign nation. We are in grave danger. This quote of Kerry's MUST be gotten out there -for Bush to use NOW - for FOX, for Rush, etc. - for all the local conservative talk show hosts - Can you get it out?

Thanks for the tagline, Lurch.

Kerry would like us to believe that this quote reflects his sentiments of a long time ago, but his "Global Test" comment the other night shows how little he's changed.

Great find. Kerry is a danger to this country and our national security. The media and the DNC are trying to make the voters believe he is something he is not. God help us.

Either the talking heads didn't hear what he was saying or they agree with him. Either way it's a frightening indictment of our news media.

Hey! The Crimson article refers to Adam Clymer. Is THAT the same Adam Clymer whom Dick Cheney called an a**hole? The same Adam Clymer The FReeper Glossary says stands for a**hole?

Yep. In 34 years Kerry's radical anti-American beliefs remain as deeply held as ever. He may have camouflaged them but he never disowned them. One might say in a public career marked by evolving positions and opportunistic flip-flops, its the only thing consistent about him. You saw a glimpse of the real John F*ckin'in Thursday's night's debate. As President he would set back this country decades. We do not want Hanoi John in the White House and we should thank God the Swifties intervened when they did.

"But almost 34 years later, Kerry’s remarks on American military and intelligence operations vastly diverge from opinions expressed by the present-day Sen. John F. Kerry, D.-Mass." -- The Crimson article

Which DAY, Crimson?

Actually, Kerry HAS been consistent in his actions if not in his words. Look at the way he voted for the last 20 years.

But sometimes he says what he believes. In the debate he said in order to show sincerity about stopping nuclear proliferation he would END U.S. research into underground nuclear bunker busters (just as he's voted to END every critical weapons system throughout his career). John Kerry thinks America's having nuclear weapons is THE SAME AS terrorists and rogue regimes having them. He equates it! He displays the wretched evil of all moral relativists, which if implemented, would lead to the suicide of Western civilization. He HAS been consistent about it -- DISARMING AMERICA -- with the (hidden?) core belief that America is, if not the source of evil in the world, awful damn close to it in HIS twisted mind.
