What's Kerry wearing on his wrist?

That's his 'Pay $5 and pretend you're drinking six beers' wristband.

"Is that the tight end?"

Could be a wide receiver.

The current scuttlebutt is that ABC will be dropping Monday Night Football after this year. My guess is that they're trying to poison the well for any other network.

Me, I'm hoping Monday Night Football will go to Fox. If it goes to CBS, I won't be watching it. Period.

With the Packs 1-2 record this season, it's looking good for Bush...

Praying to the Football Gods as I say that!!

I grew up with Gibbs as MY coach during the Skins glory days, Hogs etc.

It's his first year back, I'm not expecting miracles just a much improved team. Now next year.... GO SKINS!!!!!!

Oh, this is too funny. I can only assume that you're talking about Spennie B when you say Jeff Goldblum...that's the guy. He HATES being compared to Jeff Goldblum - or at least, he used to.

I didn't see it tonight - did he get bumped, or is he still around?

What's Kerry wearing on his wrist?

It's a Lance Armstrong Cancer Foundation's "LiveStrong" wristband. I've heard others state that President Bush wears one, too.

The guy in the white T-shirt looks like he could be thinking...

"Ah jeez...not this $h!t again.

Doesn't this undertaker from Massachusetts have anything better to do?"

Sorry, but Indy seems to have amazing trouble scoring on 1st and goals from inside the 5. Ask New England...

It was interference, they just called it on one team. Life is good.

I'll pass, thanks.

I won't go through the litany of reasons, but I stopped following the NFL five years ago. I don't even waste time with the Super Bowl. Time was when I was a "die hard" fan of both the Minnesota Vikings and the Green Bay Packers (of what, Lambert Field fame?).

Anyway, it took several weeks of painful withdrawal before I stopped missing Sunday afternoon TV. Then a whole new world opened to me. Between Sunday and Monday night, it opened about 10 hours per week for other things. It's heavenly.

It sounds like you may have added another reason to my litany. Give it up. I promise you will live longer and enjoy life more.

Spinning in his grave? Howard Cosell was a complete idiot. Don't forget he made his legend praising Mohammed Ali joining The Religion Of Peace (tm).

Typical Howard Cosell:
Take a look at this here. The Yankee fans are going nuts, looking for a home run. They don't seem to realize that one Reginald Martinez Jackson is at the plate. Folks, we might as well go home, this game is over. No way does this batter hit one out. The pitch: a soft fly ball to deep short. Looks like maybe the left fielder should put this one away. He backs up and this ball is gone. Home Run for #44. Just like I said, folks.

That man was an idiot, an a$$hole, and a subversive, and the most arrogant man to ever live.

Probably queer as a three dollar bill.

Not only was Cosell a lib but current play-by-play man Al Michaels is a repub. He donated 2 grand to the Bush-Cheney re-elect and he ripped on Kerry during the monday night game in New England a few weeks ago...

The yellow thing is a Live Strong bracelet from the Lance Armstrong Foundation. "As a tribute to Lance's inspirational fight against cancer, yellow Live Strong wristbands will be sold in an effort to raise $5,000,000 for the Lance Armstrong Foundation."

UPDATE: I just read they've sold 13 million so far, at $1 each. Nike also threw in $1 million. I understand 100 percent of the funds goes to research.

While not a fan of Monday night football, I saw the opening and asked Mr. HR...."What gives w/Monday Night Football? They've used Howard Dean and now Billy Bob Thornton, both leftists, to open this season!"

</font size> He just shook his head and gave me a look that was my cue to "Stifle."

To each his own, I guess. My wife and I participate in Fantasy Football and the office pool. She is racing through her closing duties now, to catch the second half. We are definitely ready for some football!!
