SPRING GREEN, WI -- Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani visited Spring Green, Wisconsin today where he unveiled the Debate Briefing Book for Senator Kerry (as prepared by Bush-Cheney '04) and issued the following statement. "Senator Kerry has taken so many different positions on the issues facing the country that we thought he would benefit from the overview of the most interesting debate -- the one John Kerry is having with himself. He's been for the war, against the war and for it and against it again. Last week, he became an anti-war candidate again. This is a fatal flaw and the American people see through it. John Kerry is not able to take a principled position and is the wrong choice to guide America through this critical time." Get your copy of Senator Kerry's Debate Briefing Book by clicking here.

Sorry Rudy. No matter how many chits you get from the Repub establishment for making these sorts of statements you will not have this freeper's support for the GOP nod in 08. Dumping ur wife and kids, dressing in drag, gun grabbing and other liberal nonsense are wrong. Period

Well its a nice way to unveil talking points for those who are trying to convince the demorat choir. Rudy is looking like my favorite candidate for 2008.

Giulani seems to be campaigning for the 2008 job we simply won't allow him.

dressing in drag What are you going to say to all the shellbacks who crossd the line to become hardbacks? Sailors regularly dressed in drag when they crossed the equator.
Were it between Rudy and Hillary, I would vote for Rudy.

Last time I checked Rudy had no such excuse for his silly prancings. Or his infidelity. Or dumping his kids for his mistress. Once again, he posses far too many ngatives both on conservative issues and personal decisions. It better NOT come down to a choice between him and Shrillery.

I loved what George Will said on This Weak, on Sunday. He said that President Bush should say "Everybody in the solar system knows my position on Iraq and the war on terrorism. I'm willing to give the full 90 minutes to Senator Kerry to let him explain his various positions" Or words to that effect.

Hello Sink. Its a legitimate point to make as Guiliani ain't making these appearences for his health. Dollars to donuts, he wants the top spot in 08. Very well. He is certainly going about it intelligently enough first winning IOU's with the GOP top brass and trumpting his credentials as "America's Mayor." All I've written so far is to point this out and to go the next step - namely his compatibility in his totality for the GOP's big seat. And what I see I don't like. And no I will not act like a NOW nag and give him a pass. Character counts. It did with Bubba. It does with Bush and it will with Guiliani.

I'm half and half on Rudy...I dislike his abortion stand, among a few issues, BUT...if he was up against Hitlery in '08, he'd get my vote!

Good going. In two sentences you blamed the wife for the husband's cheating and labeled the other woman as a decent sort because she eventually tied the knot with the philanderer. And yes if a woman sleeps with a married man with kids she's a whore. The epithet applied to Monica and it applies to her.

I lived in Manhattan and had a carry permit for 19 years. Under Rudy, when it came up for the two-year renewal, he had made so impossible that even I could not get it again. He is socially liberal on everything.
Although I like the guy and have voted for him, he is a very liberal pubby who has supported late-term abortion (which is unforgivable in my mind).
I believe you are correct.

I don't think McCain will run. I think he's had it with running for president. Besides he is not really fit for that anymore and neither is his wife. He did a bit of campaigning for Bush in Arizona but then it stopped.

You left out the salient fact that he endorsed
Mario Cuomo (of all people) over George Pataki, most likely because he thought MC would win.
I love Rudy for what he's done for NYC and America since 9/11, but he's not a conservative leader, any more than Arnold. Popular, but not conservative.
Wrong choice for Prez, IMHO.

Please esplain, ss, exactly what damage is being caused by calling a spade a spade, and a social liberal, social -ist by the appropriate terms.
God bless Giuliani for supporting W. God bless him with the wisdom to either change his "free government" ways, or at least the wisdom not to run for President. He will be severely opposed if he tries to do that.
