Actually I am in favor of Jesse not voting, since if you have ever heard him he comes off as a dem, not a pub. He got elected saying he was more conservative than he really was and he was a disaster in office. So count this as one less vote for Kerry.
In a broader context, it mirrors what is happening in the dem party. They hate Bush, but are coming to the same position on Kerry, since if you are anti-war, he is pro and if you are pro he is anti. Were I a dem, I would be fed up with him like Jesse, and not vote for him since I would worry about what he would do if elected- pro or anti? At least I would have Bush to hate and not my own candidate.
And why should anyone care?
This guy was slammed to the mat one too many times??????
Psssssssst. It's not real.
What a deep thinker Jesse is! Maybe he could be Hillary's running mate in 2008.
I think radio talk host, Tammy Bruce, said it best:
"If you don't vote, you are choosing to be irrelevant"
this is good news, and confirms the widely held belief that Mr. Ventura had and has no business in a sound government. Perhaps he will move to some (distant) nation that shares considers voting obsolete, and set about to getting a governership there.
In Mr. Ventura's case, it wasn't a choice. He was born irrelevant. Pity he doesn't excercise his freedom to choose to be relevant.
That is the stupidest thing I have ever heard from someone who has held public office. Shut up and wrestle!
Both status-quo candidats suck.
It always comes down to "the lessor of two evils", which really is a damn shame.
Folks, it's crunch time. There are only a few days left before the 30 day limit for registration in most states. Please call the campaign and volunteer to register voters from GOP districts in battleground states. And then volunteer for GOTV efforts just before and during the elections. The alternative is condemning your family and neighbors to life under the opposition.
Tactics trump policy every single time. If Bush is preferable, then he's preferable and the die is cast. We can persuade the majority of Americans of that, but if they don't vote it won't matter.
I thought it was:
"If you don't vote Democrat or Republican you are irrelvant".
We're told that we can still vote and be irrelevant if we vote for a third party ... thus ensuring continuity of things like the IRS and 20%+ tax rates, the purchasing of legislation via lobbyists, etc.
You're not given an incredibly narrow choice for no reason. Both parties like the system just they way it is, and the stinking voters are not going to get in the way. Whoever wins, we lose. And that's the way it's supposed to be.
No go pull the level for whoever the FEC determines is a"legitimate" candidate. It's your civic duty. Oceana .... I mean the U.S.A. has got a war to win. Don't pay attention to all that ther stuff.
It is, but he keeps trying to stretch it. He was touting some group against the war about a month ago, but nobody paid attention.
What's really funny is that he has such a bitter envy of Norm Coleman. Even though he won the election for governor running against Norm (yes, there are that many stupid people) he had nothing but classless things to say about Norm.
I get great pleasure in the fact that he has to sit and watch Norm be selected as the chairman of the Repulican National Convention and frequently fly on Air Force One. Hee hee. Here's one for ya Jesse. The Republican's up and coming favorite son. Next Presidential or Vice Presidential Candidate.
Jesse Ventura will not be voting because he will be busy playing in the musical PIRATES OF MINNESOTA
arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...
"Isn't his 15 minutes over yet?"
Yes that's why he's squealiing like a wounded pig for attention. Just ignore self centered fools like him.
