Jim, if I remember correctly, it was an article about french and english liberals ridiculing the Whitewater investigations and the impeachment procedings back in September 1988 that prompted me to sign up and start posting to this forum. My sentiment then that we don't give a rat's @$$ what some stuffy self-important european idiots think still applies today.

"Interested Anglo" and you say this: "Why can't you wonderful country find better candidates than this pair?"
I sense that English is NOT your first language.

After reading the supposed "Interested ANGLO's" slaughtering of the English language, I figure that English is not his first language, let alone a natural language for him.

When I see whines like this from a whineying pro Islamo Brit, the first thought that goes through my mind is that my ancestors who killed Brits in the Revolutionary War and the War of 1812 didn't kill enough of your ancestors.
However, after, I cool down, I know that left wing scum like you are no different than the hate America Scum here in America.
Your buddy moi Kerri, is the wrong man running for president in the wrong country at the wrong time.
Bend over and get used to 4 more years of GW leading the war to kill Islamofascists around the world.

Then you remember valve adjustments. When I'd ride around with the big guys, at every gas stop I'd adjust the lash in one of the valves, alternating them into an effective maintainance program.

I would do only one valve per stop. It was a little ahead of what was needed, but if you let it go over 1000 miles the thing ran like a lawn mower. It was just easier to do it too much rather than let it slip and have to stop on the side of the road because the bike would only do 50mph. I was 17, and lucky to have the older guys even allow me to go along. It was wise not to be too much of a bother.

We'll come up with better candidates when you brits design an automotive electrical system that works. (lucas) LOL, my first car was a Triumph (of marketing). It would go about 5 miles in a downpour before you had to get out, remove the distributer cap and dry it out with a rag and reassemble for another 5 miles of driving.
Why such a foul weather country would produce such a fair weather electrical system always befuddled me.

The seven trillion is the product of decades of excess, not this administration. The billion per day, well, in case you hadn't noticed, there is a war on. (And Bush's challenger has ideas for even MORE social spending, so don't look for him to solve the issue).
We're looking forward to open season on Iran and North Korea. I haven't noticed much a terrorist backlash from taking out Afghanistan and Iraq so I think you are mistaken. The primary sufferers of terrorism right now are our poor troops trying to Iraq safe for Iraqis.
Anybody who is hoping for a Hillary! victory is no friend of the USA. Why not go to DU?

A modest proposition.... I propose we allow non-U.S. citizens to vote in U.S. state and federal elections, subject to the following conditions (any reference to "he" is assumed to apply equally to males/females/trans-gendered/undecided/visitors from Planet X):
1. Prior to registering to vote, a person must demonstrate using certified records that he is in fact actually pays U.S. taxes. Earned-income tax credits and other Great Society wealth redistribution plans do not count for the purpose of this requirement.
2. Prior to voting, the voter's home country must repay all debts owed to the United States, financial/materials/blood/etc. The voter should present a notarized receipt at the time of voting to meet this requirement.
3. Prior to voting, any non-U.S. voter shall have paid all user fees for using U.S.developed technology (e.g. global positioning systems, satellite communications systems, nuclear power, etc.).
4. Prior to voting, any non-U.S. voter shall stand on a box at the polling place and declare loudly at the top of his voice "The United States of America is the greatest country in the world and a beacon of Freedom to all! My country, (fill in the blank), wishes to join the United States when we grow up!"
5. In the event a non-U.S. voter is unable to meet all of the conditions above, they will be summarily removed form the polling place and have the letters "STFU" tattooed across their posterior in 44-point Helvetica type.
(/tongue-in-cheek)
