Every school should be checking their employee records teachers, janitors, cafeteria workers, bus drivers, contractors exc... for any Muslim sounding names, (yes , I mean racial profiling), green card status exc... make sure people are who they say they are. Teachers and all should keep their eyes open for anything unusual. People who don't belong/look out of place/strangers. Be alert.

I know it's asking a lot for liberal teachers to step away from their rage at president Bush and pay attention to their surroundings, but the safety of their students may depend on it.

The Beslan siege was done by contractors who placed the weapons in the school before they took the children hostage. They also tried to lure small children to the gym with sweets. Apparently the terrorists hid in a van prior to the siege. Law enforcement should step up patrols around schools.

I wish the teachers could be armed, but I know that's a pipe dream. Maybe they could at least carry pepper spray or something. It seems to me, that the worst thing they could do, if the Islamofacists do make a move, is cooperate with them. In Russia, they marched over 1000 people into the gym, like lambs being led to slaughter. They should fight them and tell the kids to run, if they are attacked.

I'd like to see our entire nation be armed to the teeth. That's really the only way we can protect ourselves. The IslamNazi's don't take hostages, they take people they fully intend to murder. The 2nd Amendment is all about how to deal with this terrorism problem.

I'm against completely going "We are Borg. You will be assimilated" -- but some degree of assimilation is needed -- Italians, Greeks, etc. still retain their culture while merging it with American culture. Ditto for Indians, Koreans etc.

I'll add to the database. They weren't, I did, in the 60's. Then again, I'm an Army brat, so this was either on-base schools, or schools in communities immediately adjacent to Army bases.

As for the colonization comment: as others have noted, Mpls has had a heavy influx of Moslem immigrants in recent years, mostly from Somalia, and they seemed determined to turn the city into Mogadishu North. Even longtime African-American residents are complaining about being driven out of their neighborhoods by Somali gangs.
