Yeah, I agree. First they try to paint Kerry in a negative light by bringing up Willie Horton, then Al Shapton. Each a scary black man, is that the point?

I think that's the reason half here see them as a plant, it's because we don't need this kind of 'help.'

Kerry has plenty of faults without trying to scare people this way. His associations with Sharpton pale in comparison to his ties to communists. His actions as lawyer pale compared to his countless votes to weaken America.

I agree with you dc-zoo. Besides the charge of racism is the problem of reasonableness. I know, many in FR believe we should lock everyone up and throw the key away. This is not the way it works and someone, with as good as possible professional advice, must decide to release some even before the sentence is over.

This a humane, and IMHO, Christian approach to criminals and sinners. Unfortunately, you might release 100 and then find one that does not make it or otherwise proves harmful to others. Then the press preys on fear and loathing in the public arena to crucify those that were just doing the best job they could in a difficult area of jurisprudence.

It was wrong for Al Gore to use Willie Horton on his opponent, it was wrong for Bush I to use Willie Horton against his opponent and it will be wrong if these well meaning people use this on our opponent.
