Ten Congress Members Call For Boykins' Removal

They Were Appalled By His Mention Of God

Commentary on the News
Saturday, September 04, 2004
OL Staff

Ten members of Congress wrote a letter to President Bush stating that Lt. Gen. William Boykin should be dismissed as the Deputy Undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence.

In case you don't remember, Boykin is the man in charge of hunting for Osama and was caught speaking to a church while in uniform.

The letter states that Boykin has offended Muslims and he lacks objectivity. They seem to be overlooking the fact that it was 19 Muslims that did more than just offend 3,000 Americans.

They also seem to overlook the fact that perhaps someone who DOES lack objectivity is the best person to be hunting terrorists.

Who would you want to be in charge of the hunt, a Christian general or a liberal who is concerned about Muslims being offended by comments made in a Christian church?

And your congressman/woman.

Frank is not worth getting fired for--especially when you are right.

Well, we know Bwawney Fwank is a card-carrying Marxist member of the 'progressive' caucus, a wholly-owned subsidiary od the "Democratic Socialists ofAmerica", which is the U.S. arm of the Socialist Internationale. I dare say the other 9 signatories probably are, too.

There are 10 members of congress that need to take a world tour via Chechnya, Iraq, Sudan, and other sensitive hot spots....... maybe they will get the message or get the steam knocked out of their engines.....

Wouldn't it be neat if a pillar of fire were to come down from the sky and form between Boykins and the congressmen who are pressing charges.

Frankly, I'd be more pleased if the pillar landed directly on the congressmen.

You know.................these people have no shame.

God sent fire and brimstone down and consumed two cities full of these people because of their life-style. And a lot of other people that just lived there!

They best not mess with God's man!

This is so absurd as to be unbelievable. I suggest that Mr. Franks and the others check with the Muslims that just used children as shields in Beslan and what message would he like to send the families whose sons rammed some stolen American Jets into the TT and the Pentagon killing some 3,000+ people. Is this man nuts? Is his brain being eaten away by his life style or something he is smoking or snorting?

This is the sort of politician that has no place in my government and the dimwits that keep him in office need investigating themselves.

I don't care how sensitive General Boykin’s intelligence assignment was/is, Barney Fwanks is out of order, it is he who should be removed!

[Barney Frank is known for his witty candor and his dedication to liberal causes, particularly gay rights. One of the few openly gay members of Congress, Frank had been in Washington six years before he came to out to his colleagues, and the nation, in 1987. Two years later he found himself embroiled in a sex scandal with a male prostitute named Stephen Gobie...]

I believe in offending ALL Muslims until they denounce the radical element. Until then, I will continue to state that Islam is a murderous cult that should be totally eliminated.

Bawney is very mean-spirited. The Dumbos are loosing focus rapidly and can blame their plight on the failure of their vision for America. Or as as Rassman would say, Kerry's vision, whatever that is supposed to be. Whatever it is, it keeps changing faster than the auto-focus on a sports photographer's camera.

My son returned from boot camp back in 1991. He wore his Navy uniform proudly through the airport when I greeted him. I was a proud parent. The following Sunday I invited him to a church that I was invited to...a Mennonite Church. I wasn't aware of it at the time but they believe in the separation of Church and State to the point that they don't display the American Flag. That's fine with me and I didn't have a problem with that (I respect all Christian religions). After the service I was informed of this by our guest and to me and my sons surprise we felt a little out of place....he wore his Navy Dress Uniform to Church. Nobody said anything and no one stared...I have to believe they knew deep down what Zell Miller said a few nights ago...It's the solder that gives America it's freedom...God Bless all our Troops!

The investigation records that Gen Boykin, before this became an issue, questioned his legal advisors about his speaking in churches and they told him he was on good ground.

My personal opinion is that the religious support regulation provided him the freedom to do so.

The "useful idiots" caucus of the Congress.

This reminds me of the California Assembly's treatment of POW hero Jerimiah Denton on July 4th.

A homosexual Congressman is accusing a Lt.General, who gave a speech about Muslims in a Christian Church,of lacking OBJECTIVITY.
