Get over it. Homosexuality is a fact of many lives. Yeah, they're your fellow countrymen. The only fact about homosexuality is the fact that it's a perverse disgusting way of life that's being force fed to the majority of decent Americans via "tolerance" and "political correctness".

So..........newbie...............I take it that you'd rather stand by your rather self-focused principles and let Kerry get elected. Sounds pretty fishy to me.But what the heck do I know,........ except that we must keep Kerry out of the White House.....?
And his agenda as well. The American people are looking to the GOP to stand with them as they fight media and cultural elite attempts to impose militant deviance upon them in the guise of 'tolerance'. The Log Cabin types have nothing to offer this party and should understand that we will not turn this country into Fire Island for them.
This is a winning issue for us. The big suprise of this election is going to be Kerry getting a whole lot fewer black votes than Gore did. Blacks are viscerally disgusted by seeing the rhetoric and symbolism of the civil rights movement hijacked by militant deviance. So accomodating the Log Cabin types is exactly what not to do.

What the heck is a Log Cabin Republican?I once asked the same question, they are as so many others have described them to you,but I was told the "log cabin" name derives from their assertion that Lincoln was gay.
Just what I heard.

Probably a group that has a lot in common with Mary Cheney.
Gays that believe in lower taxes, less spending, strong defense, and commitment to family.

Well if Kerry gets elected then the Log Cabin boys get the key part of their agenda anyway. What point is there to segregating themselves as homosexual republicans, rather than just a plain ol' Republicans, if not to advance a homosexual agenda? If keeping Kerry out of the White House and winning the War on Terror are truly their primary concerns, why are they choosing to throw a tantrum during the RNC? ... It's like sitting down to Thanksgiving dinner and proceeding to scream at your grandmother that she's an "intolerant bigot" because she won't refer to your homo boyfriend as "gay life partner" or somesuch.

"-Please join me right now to help us take on the radical right.-"
I am teaching my kids the same values my parents taught me, and their parents taught them. So I guess that makes my kids third generation "radical right"
Why is it that old-fashioned morality is now considered radical, even though it is the majority view?

Just great! The "Log Cabin" moniker had me thinking about Lincoln but I couldn't resolve it with what I was reading. To think that our 16th Prez was a homo is stupid.

Put your log in DU's cabin.

I sympathize with gay folks who certainly do have certain disadvantages compared to straights. -NutCrackerBoyGays have it no harder than your typical single person.
I didn't mean financial disadvantages. I meant that some of the joys in life really aren't available to them. Like having the role of mother or father. I consider that a cosmic injustice. It is unfair, but it is not something that the rest of society can or should address.

"Anyone who still thinks the "Log Cabin" sodomites are true Republicans only need watch the commercial to see what their true agenda is: to push out those with traditional, conservative, Christian values, and replace them with "gay friendly" sycophants who are too PC to speak plainly about the attack on this country's culture. They're not as concerned with the size of the "big tent" as with whether their homosexual agenda is under it. They know who the winning team will be and they want to play for it."
...excellent post and statement! ItsOurTimeNow, the log packin' left is all over this one, misconstruing the poster's intent and pro-family statement long after we put the Democrats on the run with our President's word in favor of the FMA. Bring 'em on!
Our President and many congressmen will be re-elected, because they took stands in favor of the FMA and for family against pretenders. And the voters are speaking very clearly in the states against homosexual activism.

Don't worry over it. The next installment in this historical revisionist balderdash is that John Wilkes Booth was really a jilted lover who was jealous that Lincoln dated US Grant. /sarcasm

[This is a terrible outrage and if they hate the party so much, why are they still members?]

It's nothing new. Gay activists have been undermining and infiltrating conservative institutions for a long time:

According to the AFA Journal, Elizabeth Birch, a prominent homosexual activist, said to Disney CEO Michael Eisner "30 percent of your employees are gay," and Eisner replied, "You're wrong, Elizabeth. It's 40 percent." Ever noticed how the homosex lobby have infiltrated everything related and designed for youth? Disney, BSA, Schools. etc.... Recruitment/brainwashing.
